Fine food This restaurant is located at the top of the road, so maybe it’s not your first choice, but you should for sure come here for you food. The food served here is delicious and the host is very friendly. There are also vegetarian options. Hands down the best meal we had in Albania. The food was so fresh, homemade and plentiful. The toilets were dirty, the service was slow, and on top of that, the waitress gave us the wrong change (which I guess is partly my fault for not checking). The only nice thing about this place were the cats. Amazing food, and staff With friends we were visiting Kruje castle and we were looking to find something traditional to eat. We did find Merlika restaurant and we were amazed by the food! It was very windy and they were prepared for that kind of weather. Food delicious, we did order purely vegetarian dish that unfortunately I do not remember the name. Amazing atmosphere and awesome views while eating. Highly recommend that place to eat. We were there to have lunch with good views. Up to here was good, eating with that views is something that can not be found everyday but, BUT, the waiter was barely talking or showing interest, it took quite too much for only 2 salads, being the only customers, and then they were only big and hard chops of tomato, cucumber (poorly peeled), and hard centers of lettuce with dry chicken. The WC are a disaster too for not having customers there. Hope it was just a bad day... Day trip to Kruje with my Albanian brother-in-law & English Sister. Happened upon this place as we parked in their car park about to go to a smarter establishment below it. Were given a lovely welcome & the food (breakfast) was so fresh and authentic.
