Nice to try some local dishes on your visit to Krujë. The was really poor but the food tasted decent. I got the Tavë Dheu and it was good. Heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijk personeel We arrived late on a Saturday evening and they were kind enough to seat us. I had the rocket salad which was delicious. My partner had a typical Albanian dish which was small but tasty. They had draft beer. The staff were very friendly and attentive, was fast. We sat overlooking the castle, which was very beautiful. Highly recommend Stunning and warm friendly service! My husband and I had a wonderful evening. We shared a Rich Salad, Focaccia with feta and tomato and a diavola pizza. We enjoyed the salad and Focaccia but found the pizza disappointing in flavor and texture. And a lovely touch at the end of the meal, the great staff brought some complimentary pomegranate juice - very tart but tasty. Drinks were well priced. A shame people in the air-conditioned room were smoking - it was horrible to have to smell while eating our meal. A large restaurant, vibe, service. English menu available. Staffs speak English. We had oriental soup, grape leaf stuffing, beef chop. Food was ok. They Accept credit card. What a wonderfull place to have dinner, excellent nice people and great food!! We had an experience here at the restaurant. After visiting the bazaar and touring the castle, we stopped here to eat because we had heard that the food was excellent and authentic. I must say that from the time we sat down to the time we finished we had an experience. The server made several recommendations and we listened and decided to go with his recommendations. We ate an variety of foods and we enjoyed every minute of our time here. I marked the food down 1 star because nothing is perfect and I cannot lower my rating for the we received (best I have received in Albania for the two weeks we have been here). The is amazing, see the photo is attached and you can see that I cannot reduce the score as the is amazing. The food while amazing, drew the short straw and got a minor reduction. I cannot help but recommend this place as a wonderful experience and I am sure we will be back next year. Quick note, our server was named Freddie. I am not sure if that is the correct spelling, but if so, he should get major kudos for his service. Friendly waiters and a breathtaking view. The vegetarian dishes were a delight; the Focaccia with tomatoes and tzatziki served with bread were particularly delicious, as was the Vegetarian Pizza. The Tave e shtepie was delicious and portion is great for the price. was pretty quick and they were nice overall. Although the was very slow, took 30 mins to get the food but overall was experience because of and weather. Was really hungry as well so tasted extra :D Food was so-so. Kofte were when fresh but the moment they turned cold became tasteless and chewy (more than is usual). Prices in the menu are a bit inflated. A friend had the traditional stew with cheese and also was not particularly impressed, he said there was very little meat in it. The waiters were also strange, I did not want to tip them but I guess they misunderstood me and never returned the change. About the only thing this seemed for is its great of the town and the castle, if there is space available on the terrace or the balcony area. I also tried a couple different pastas that were cooked very well! You won't be disappointed. Overpriced for what it offer. The food is served with small portions. Definitely one of the best traditional restaurant's in Albania has a lovely of the Kruja castle and old bazaar! The terrace is perfect much like the food. The prices are cheap and food quality is great. We payed 17.80€ for a two course meal with drinks for two people! We had a beuatiful dinner and when a table on the terrace became available the staff even asked us if we wanted to transfer there so that we could eat with a view. I unfortunately don't have a picture of the in the evening but I have one from our breakfast since we stayed at the hotel. They even bring you a complimentary sorbet!
