Beautiful grassed area beside a sandy on Belfast Lough. It's got a children's play area, carpark, a coffee van and ice-cream van. The North Down Coastal Path passes through it. It's the ideal spot for a family day out, not far from Holywood and Marino train station. Nice views. Crisp fresh sea breeze Too many dogs. People need to pick up after their dogs. Nice plat area for kids. Free parking. Lovely walking path. Sandy in places. Nice for a stroll. Lovely wide promenade right beside the sea. the car here and you can into Holywood. It's a good stretch of the legs but there are plenty of watering holes in the town to rest and recover for your back ! On a lovely sunny day you can't beat it. Fantastic wee park! First time coming here the other day, and the wee man absolutely loves it here. The equipment is all in really good condition and mostly made from wood, which is great. It's just a 1min down to the too. There were a few coffee vans and an ice cream van so we could get our caffeine fix. Hope it stays a nice park. Great new coffee and ice cream van on site. Quite a few parking spaces can be very busy at times! Nice along the seafront too Not enough parking spaces or disability access to the beach. The 2 car parks there have to cover the and the sports ground near by so fills up pretty quickly on a weekend. An amazing with the best sea view especially during sunset. Loved the picnic I had there with my family today! Lovely to along. If you fancy a long walk, you can follow it all the way to Bangor. Playpark is there for the kids to enjoy, but of late, it seems it's undergoing some development and so is unavailable. It is a very popular location for all. Kids, adults, dog walkers, picnic goers, exercise enthusiasts etc The playground refurb (2025) is lovely but the area leaves a lot to be desired especially in peak summer. Bins not emptied rubbish everywhere and so wasps and bugs everywhere. Play was rammed the day we went (summer hols) and has 2 points of entry/egress making it hard to keep kids secure. We both love a wee rest and coffee in the park, Sasha loves to bimble about and people watch. Great and quiet place. There was a place for children, but now there are renovations. Good place to the dog. Plenty of when the tide is out. Lots of open green areas to get a good run. A decent for kids. Couple of coffee/tea/ice cream places as well.
