The Poachers Pocket

Belfast, United Kingdom Gastropub

One of the Best Places To Visits in Lisbane Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very busy pub and near Belfast. Absolutely heaving on the December Saturday night we visited - reservations essential. Food was excellent and the service very good. Vegetarian options available. The mixed salad is absolutely delicious, as was the burger. Pizzas very good - busy takeout service during dinner. What a beautiful place to find on your birthday weekend. Didn't have a booking & it was busy as, nevertheless, the staff welcomed us in, found us a table, & we had the most stunning meal that we've had in a long time. Definitely 1 to search for if your out on your travels & looking a quaint eaterie. Delicious. Spectacular food, service and portion sizes too! We were recommended this place for their chowder and it did not disappoint 👏 Loved the brie starter very tasty and well presented. Thai chicken curry was ok. The sauce was a bit watery and I'm sure the rice was the microwave packet. Ham hock was huge and very tasty. Boxed The leftover to take home. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Dining area was a little crowded and noisy. Limited parking so you may have to park on the main road. But overall a great and highly recommended and definitely would go again. Went here with my mum for her birthday. The was really busy (and I was glad I had a table booked). The service was a tad slow and we're were served by no less than 5 different people in our visit. The food however was excellent and I was a nice place to be. Two courses from that part of the menu is £34 which I reasonable. The cost for me was circa £36 (inc drinks) each which again was reasonable for the quality of the food. This is a really lovely and the food here is great. I had the ham hock and what a tasty hunk of meat it was! My wife had the katsu chicken burger and she said it was one of the best things she had eaten in a long time. The sticky toffee pudding was really good. It had loads of butterscotch sauce which pleased me greatly! I liked the decor and the atmosphere was good and very relaxing. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant! My wife and I popped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were warmly welcomed by staff and quickly seated, and informed of the soup of the day. The decor was lovely, with subdued colours and simplicity creating a warm atmosphere. It was red wine slow braised beef cheek, with champ and star anise carrots for wifey. Poachers wagyu and brisket burger for me. Both stunning!!! Great portions, beautifully cooked and sensational flavour. I would say my burger was the best I've had! All in all, a great experience, well priced for good portions too. We will be booking for a Sunday soon. Beautiful homely warm with very welcoming helpful staff. The food is absolutely delicious they do the most amazing pizzas and triple cooked chips ever! The vegetable soup is also delicious I Definitely recommend The Poachers pocket for sit in and they also offer take away collection service which is great too!
