Nice small caste ruin, partially renovated in recent years. The hike is pretty short suitable for almost anyone, although especially from the beginning it is quite steep. We made it to the top in about 15 minutes with couple of stops for pictures. You can enjoy nice view of surrounding region from the top - all the way to Humenne on one side and Michalovce on the other. Recommend :) Great walk up the hill! Such an interesting to look at. Since that visit much has changed, if much can change with regards to a ruin. There is now a small museum showing bits that were found during the current restoration project, and when I visited there was a helpful and enthusiastic lady ready to show me round. This restoration project is more like a restore the bits that have fallen off over the years project, but it makes a huge difference. It actually looks as if the local area is rediscovering it's past and taking pride in its history. Short 15 minutes walk up will, but easily done. Really worth a visit. Nádherná príroda. Bardzo ładne ruiny, widać prace renowacyjne, na dole góry na której znajduje się zamek jest mały parking, darmowy. Cesta je do mierneho kopca, aj v horúcom lete celkom prijemna, miestami v tieni. Hrad nie je veľký, ale výhľad nádherný. Beautiful place- extremely well looked after. We arrived at sunset, and left as a thousand fireflies appeared. Magic. It's so nice and quiet place. Very nice nature and view point. Super Veľmi zachované zrúcaniny hradu, je čo obdivovať. Me and my colleague really enjoyed visiting this wonderful Brekov Castle. We live in Humenné. We are the first Filipino working and living here in Humenné since May 2025.
