One of the Best Places To Visits in Pătrăuți Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. 9.4.2022 beautiful from outside, but closed and looks still like under reconstruction Sito UNESCO di grande valore storico e artistico, che avevo incluso con cura nel mio itinerario di viaggio. One of the eight painted churches part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is maybe less popular than the others in the list, but it worth visiting, especially that all the 8 monasteries are in the same region of Romania This is an old church, I believe from the 1400s. The architecture in particular is incredibly fascinating. They built it facing a certain way, and put windows in just the right places, and painted symbols and pictures on the walls so that at certain times of the year, the sun would fall on significant symbols at certain times of the day. The itself is very small, and it costs a few lei to go inside. But then they tell you the story of it and describe the significance of everything, and the experience is very good. The Pătrăuți is a UNESCO site. It was closed when we arrived. The only fragments of the painted exterior left is located at the front of the but those fragments are excellent. O biserică valoroasă.......monument UNESCO Great looking, sweet, tiny church. To enter it you have to call the numner given above the door. Entrance ticket costs 5 RON plus 10 for taking photos, but luckily the man doesn't give a damn about that. Also, they have goats working as mowing machines and they are super friendly. Very beautiful Unesco monastery, 20 minutes far by car from Suceava city. The best part of the visit was the local guide that described us the history and the frescos in the inside of the monastery, and then invited us to enter the bell tower in front of the monastery, builded in 18th century. Once upon there, he showed us how it works, and ringed the bell in front of us. You can see the beautiful experience in this video I publish. UNESCO site, a small painted which was undergoing restauration when we visited. An outdoor small round table and chairs dating from the fifteenth century is though to have inspired the famous "Table of silence" by Constantin Brancusi. This is one of the less popular monasteries than the rest of the UNESCO painted monasteries, but I would say it's worth visiting. During our visit there were no other tourists, so it was so calm and peaceful which only added to the great experience. The sister that was taking care of the church, told us a little bit about its history and the paintings inside. There was no entrance ticket, but we decided to buy a small souvenir from this beautiful, lovely place. Pătrăuți Monastery is the most amazing place with a gifted, dedicated, spiritually evolved priest. A relatively unknown UNESCO site, which gives it an amazing uniqueness. A truly spiritual place, built by using advanced astrological knowledge, like in the Ancient Egypt. Must see if near Suceava! Far and away, this was the most memorable experience for me, for my very first time in Romania. My partner and I happened upon this place practically by accident, and what a happy accident it was. This is Romania’s oldest UNESCO World Heritage Site, with some of the most finely preserved interior frescoes to be found anywhere, especially among the famed monasteries of Suceava County. The kind, gentle sister who was caretaker to the site opened it for us and allowed us to take a close-up look at this hidden gem. For anyone who has the opportunity to travel through Suceava county, do not miss this incredible place. This is a gem that people miss when visiting monasteries. It is the first monastery that was built still standing to this day from 15 century. With old bell tower. minunată ctitorie ștefaniană...dar umbrită de o stareță avidă doar după bani! păcat! îi lucesc ochii ca la far când pune mâna pe banii din pomelnice.
