One of the Best Places To Visits in Cacica Frequently mentioned in reviews: Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. The place is distressing, sad and looks almost abandoned. No investments were made and it's almost a ruin Very sad considering it's rich and important history Cacica mine, still active today, people complain about strong gasoline smell, NOTE that it's NOT gasoline smell, it is because of the dampness and the and IT'S VERY GOOD FOR ASTHMATIC PEOPLE. Very big mine, can only visit 1/4 of it, has wide areas where you can play football. NOTE mine temperature is around 4ºC so bring a jacket. Very recommend. A really interestring and small mine. The fact that you descend on some old wooden steps in the bowels of the Earth makes the experience a unique one. Don’t forget to buy some goodies for you and your friends/family, they are really cheap and help keep the place open for tourists. A great experience to go here. Just bring a football if you have a group as there is a football pitch inside the mine. Great place to play football. It does have an unusual but you get used to it. I would not recommend using the toilets as they horrible. Hardly ever cleaned. Do not recommend going to this place. Wish they would refund the ticket prices. It's impossible to enjoy with such a strong petrol smell, which the receptionist stated that it is because of them mining. It literally felt dangerous to be inhaling the gas, the was still on our clothes after exiting. Have been to other mines, this is by far appalling. Better off looking at the photos online than entering the space. I recommend visiting the mine, there are a few steps and tunnels and the chambers are quite unique. The petrol is not bad and it adds to the gloomy atmosphere. It adds quite nicely to a hot summer day. No recent investments were made here. Everything is outdated and looks awful. The administration is probably locked in the 80s mindset, because with few money but good ideas, this place could be more attractive. The lake is full not only with money (?!) thrown by tourists, but actual garbage (and no one seems to care). The petroleum is so strong, that I question if its even safe to go down there.... i would not return to this place ever again I personally love this mine. It's cold (10 degrees Celsius) and not very busy and they recently opened a lovely coffee shop in the last room. The staff are super nice and if you want you can spend the entire day here chilling or doing sports. I played badminton for hours, drunk several beverages and worked from my phone on some personal projects. They also have WiFi so you are still connected to the outside world even from the depths of the mine. They can however definitely invest more in this place to make it even more engaging and fun.
