Killarney National Park Visitor Centre

Killarney, Ireland National park

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Very nicely restored coach house with friendly staff. Gives a very good overview of the national with all its wildlife, staff, history, fauna etc through the use of modern exhibits and multimedia. It is beside the centre of Killarney so well worth a walk in to get info, before you tackle the itself. Good museum, friendly staff and pleasant garden. A simply gorgeous park. You definitely need to take a quick walk to Tork waterfall if you're in the area. The visitor center is very small and does not have a gift shop. They do have restrooms. No beverage machines or water fountains so bring water. The walk to the waterfall is only about 10 minutes and is great spot for photos. Past that is a bunch of steps that are slippery when wet. The path gets a bit muddy in the rain as well. Took a horse cart ride tour of the National which is about 8,500 acres in size. The cart stops at Ross Castle where there's a toilet there. There's also a big lake here. Swans, wild ducks and deers can be sighted in this park. The path taken by the horse enter shrublands, wetlands and finally back on the road to Killarney town center. Lovely and well worth a visit. Perfect day for the family. Beautiful!! I can sit by the lake for hours; serene, peaceful, enjoying nature .. Lovely place to visit. Killarney National is a must for any budding tourist. The local jarvies are a fountain of knowledge and the majority have a true love for the town and the National Park. A wonderful amenity. Beautiful walk, trees, water. Looks like rain forest. Not too hot. Lovely, informative, entertaining. Great photos, interactive activities for kids and adults too. Very nice and enjoyable exhibition. Totally worth to visit. What a beautiful park. My husband and I enjoyed every part of it. Somptueux ! Wahouuuu!!! Un endroit splendide ! A visiter si vous passez en Irlande... Large relaxing beside one of the beautiful town in Ireland Excelente centro de información, los agentes a cargo de dar información extremadamente amables. A must if you get the chance!!
