Dear Management of the Bar & Restaurant at Killarney Brewing &Distilling Co. On last Saturday evening, we had the distinct displeasure of experiencing something your establishment should never allow: deliberate disrespect under the guise of hospitality. We arrived ahead of our reservation—punctuality is a virtue some still value—and were met by your supervisor, Julia. She greeted us as one might greet an inconvenient storm on a quiet night. We were seated at a table that appeared to be selected not for comfort, but for its sheer lack of appeal. We asked, politely, for another. Several remained empty for over an hour. She said all were taken. She said it three times. Each time, a different story. I’ve known enemy agents who’ve lied with more consistency. That in itself could be excused as poor judgement. But what followed crossed a line. Some members of our group spoke Russian. That, apparently, was enough for Julia to adopt a tone that reeked of disdain and quiet superiority. It wasn’t what she said—it was how she made us feel: like intruders rather than guests. That kind of prejudice isn’t just inappropriate, it’s dangerous. I don’t care for melodrama. But I do care about standards. And if this experience reflects the ethos of your team, I suggest a serious internal review. Fast. This isn’t a threat. Just a promise: we won’t return, and we’ll ensure our network knows why. Regards, Buddy Shalom Hesed When you drive by the Killarney Brewing and Distilling building, the beautiful design pulls your attention. It’s just a fantastic architectural design. When you enter the building, you can immediately feel that this is a first class operation. The restaurant is very spacious and provides wonderful views! The food was all fantastic. The smash burger was delicious. I got a double, but trust me, you’re fine with a single patty. It’s delicious and an actual smash burger unlike many others I tried during this trip that weren’t. The beers are great, and I tried their whiskey too, which was very smooth and has lovely caramel notes. In the next few weeks, their outdoor patio will open and take the experience to another level! Must visit for locals and tourists. Next time I visit Killarney, I hope to the distillery. Had a really lovely mid week dinner here. The staff were all really lovely, the drinks were amazing, and the food was just delicious. I must comment on the building also, it has a lovely masculine industrial feel. Very, very clean and modern, I love it. Already recommended to friends and family. I will definitely try the of the distillery the next time, it would be good to see Taking a distillery tour, it’s common to compare your past experiences to your current one. I absolutely loved this brewery (chose this because our niece’s husband is an amateur beer maker) and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful facility. Gearoid was our guide, and he did an excellent job of walking us through the process as well as giving us interesting information on each of the beers that we sampled. Loved the tour! This was our final stop on the Ring of Kerry so we could grab some food before heading back into Killarney. The views from the restaurant are stunning! The food was excellent and the service was great. We had the bread and beer cheese to start and then the chicken wings and a burger for our mains. The wings were spicy but very good. Definitely a must stop for those driving the Ring or just visiting Killarney. Came here to do a of the brewery. Brian our guide was very informative and told us about the very interesting history and branding of the company as well as about how the beer was brewed. Followed by a tasting of 3 of their beers Fantastic place to visit. One of the best brewery tours in Ireland. Barry guide was amazing, very knowledgeable about the brewing process and really, really enthusiastic. He went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable and relaxed time and understood all the information provided. Samples of products supplied during tasting were beautiful. They have an amazing restaurant that was unfortunately closed when we were there but if the food is half as good as the atmosphere and staff then it would be the icing on the cake. 100% recommend visiting and look forward to visiting again to do whiskey and/or gin tour. We loved our experience here! The whiskey tasting was so informative and our host so knowledgeable. The dinner and flight of beers we had afterwards was spot on and one of the bests since being in Ireland! We bought multiple bottles to keep because we truly believed this distillery is going somewhere!
