Great halls for group classes, gym, sports hall and a swimming pool. Price policy is good as well The gym and changing rooms are nasty, the place is not clean at all!! Dirty toilets, mold everywhere, s*** in the toilet, clogged. Disgusting. This place needs a serious deep clean. I got a months memebership and regret it. What a brilliant facility. Stopped in while visiting to use the health suite post Reeks hiking. Schools were in using the pools but 1 lane was open for non schools. That was me, the only person! I was in on a tuesday around midday & pretty much had that lane & the healthsuite to myself. Place was spotless, staff helpful. Youll need a swimcap if using the pool- they sell them here for €4 if you dont have one. €6.50 entrance, although I may have got charged an oap rate- must have looked rough 😆 Absolutely atrocious service. Called at 12.30 to book lessons advised to call back at 1 noon to book. Called at 1pm no answer. After calling from 1pm until 3.15 and messaging on their social media and leaving voice messages as advised, I received an answer at 3.15pm to confirm all spaces are gone. Glad did not get to sign up to this, if this is the way they treat potential customers they can keep their services to themselves. The Gym it's fine A lot of equipment, but it takes too long to repair when something gets out of order. There’s two leg machine Which are nearly 2 months out of order. I spoke with member of staff they said they are waiting for parts. Never usually have problems here but I have been to the gym the last few Sundays and they are cleaning during opening hours. This doesn’t make sense to me as cleaning should be done after they close not hoovering and mopping while people are trying to workout. Staff are usually lovely and approachable but this has happened a few times now. Joined here in Jan and was delighted at first. When I joined it was very good. Plenty of space to swim before work and after and then February rolled around and it all changed. My advice -If you are joining to swim and work for a living I would suggest you avoid here.Once feb arrived I found most of lanes are closed off outside of working hours with swim clubs who seem to be there morning and night during peak times working people normally swim , private lessons, aqua arobics, adult lessons, school lessons and so on. The couple of lanes that are left for the public are taken with serious fast swimmers, kids doing private lessons who instructors put them swimming across the lanes! and kids playing ball or messing. Classes are good but most of the good ones are during the day . They also tend to increase the price of classes for members in Feb. I recently visited Killarney Sports and Leisure Club with my son. The facility itself is well-maintained, clean, and modern, with clear water. While it’s unfortunate that there are no starting blocks (the is not deep enough), we were pleased to see flags — a great feature for backstroke training. However, one major issue worth addressing is the age restriction policy: "You must be 13 years or older to use the on your own. Any children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times." While I understand the need for safety, this one-size-fits-all rule does not take into account experienced young swimmers, particularly those who hold Swim Ireland Competitive Membership. Many 10-12-year-olds are highly skilled, often swimming at a much higher level than their parents, yet they are still required to have an adult in the water with them. If the concern is insurance, perhaps a better approach would be to introduce a system where Swim Ireland competitive members can access the independently. If the issue is pricing, then be transparent — if €6.5 per visit seems too low, adjusting the fee slightly for unaccompanied (in the pool) minors with proven swim proficiency would be a far better solution than enforcing an arbitrary age limit. I hope management considers refining these policies to better support young swimmers while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The sports complex is excellent .the staff are very approachable and manage the centre to top standards Donie I don't recommend it to anyone! When I complained about few problems about facilities to the Manager Sonja, She does not tell sorry or something , She just CANCELLED my membership! She did not informed Me about cancellation, I just realized when I went to the Leisure center 1 week later, I could not go in because Receptionist confirmed, My membership cancelled. I was very disappointed. About facilities: The dressing room is dirty, there is a smell of urine in the toilet, mold in the shower. The carabiners are missing in the gym, the artificial leather coverings are torn. The sauna didn't work for two weeks in February, there was not information why.
