However I really really hate the fact that are allowed on the beach. It so badly takes from it. Instead of a peaceful bit of nature you have the noise of coming and going and the occasional idiot who thinks everyone wants to listen to their car radio. With the kids it really took away from the safety. Had to watch the kids playing in the like hawks as up and down. One selfish idiot parked directly in front of where we had our blanket down too. As non drivers on the you feel like second class citizens. For this reason I’d go to any of the other countless stunning Kerry beaches and avoid those motorway. I hope the council ban the cars. Upside is you get to watch people get stuck regularly in the which is karma in my mind. Absolutely amazing beach. We went there on a quiet day so had plenty of space to on the near water (which is allowed there). After a lovely picnic we decided to go for a dip. Despite the fact that was very windy and not as warm as June should be, water was absolutely fantastic. I was expecting a lot colder. That is very and all so no need to wear aqua shoes like you would on stoney beach. Definitely will be coming back every time we are in Kerry.
