Tourist Organisation of Podgorica

Podgorica, Montenegro Tourist information center

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Busy but worth yo visit Staff is excellent. Free maps. I probably agree with most of the other reviews. The place isn't overly impressive and the queuing process is inefficient. They only take cash and it's 27 euros to register (for a month). Other posters indicated there has been some fraud/theft but my figures added up (but still check your change). It just seems inefficient and I'm not sure why this isn't a web paged service or they don't take card payments (but I concede that I don't actually know what happens to my data after it is entered so there may be lots of valid reasons) . 4 stars, not because it's particularly "good" but in the realm of "registering with a random governmental body" it's fine. Nice friendly staff, just make sure to check everything on your pink slip before leaving as sometimes mistakes happen. The biggest downside is waiting outside either under the boiling sun or in the “corridor” where ACs external units from a bunch of offices blow so it’s even hotter to stand there, which isn’t fun with +40° Should be called Anti-Tourist organization. Feels like paying a fine for choosing to travel to Montenegro. I understand that people are just doing their job and they are very nice actually, but the system is designed for you to pay the penalty and collect money from tourists, as if Montenegro doesn't get enough from them already... You can only pay in cash, how convenient is that? I travel a lot and I've never seen such a stupid system. Travel is stressful already and this adds extra expenses and extra stress....instead of enjoying your trip. Tourist spend money in Montenegro, why pay this stupid fine ... I think it's not right, doesn't feel welcoming at all Honestly this place is quite decent. Even though there are only two windows, I got served within 10 minutes. Staff can speak Montenegrin, English, Russian, German and Turkish. There are a number of reasons why I took one star off. Firstly, I don’t think it makes sense for tourists to go somewhere during their holiday to register. Would it not be easier to register and pay the tax at the airport prior to arrival? Secondly, the fact that they do not accept card payments in 2023 is just absurd to me. Good thing i had cash on me. When you come here do not forget to bring your passport, ID of the person who is hosting you and the exact address of your accommodation Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was taken care of quickly There was no wait. There were two functioning desks. The gentleman helped me. I was in and out in two minutes. I will note that this tourist registration system is a nightmare in Montenegro if you stay in any type of private accommodation (non-hotel or hostel). There should be a more streamlined way for hosts to register their guests electronically. It's 2024 after all. Staff was really friendly and helpful to me (tourist office.) The side where you take care if your tourist tax was more "matter-of-fact" But still helpful. Recommend stopping here to find out what's up! Doing their job well, sometimes there is a line, but most times it's quick and friendly. For the tourist tax: be warned, cash only. Registration took a couple of minutes. The staff speaks English, Russian, which is very convenient when you do not know the local language. I was in Montenegro for the first time, and I was worried that there would be difficulties with this. The staff are very friendly. For registration, you need: a passport, address of residence in Podgorica, and full name of the owner of the apartment. Cash payment. It's not very convenient that tourists have to spend time to pay the tax, but I got served quickly and the staff was helpful Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
