Amazing place, bit hard path to find and through but it’s really beautiful there 🤩🤩🤩❤️ Beautiful hike through the mrtvica canyon. Bring steady feet and good shoes and plenty of water. Breathtaking here. Plenty of parking at the beginning of the walk. The is about 10km taking about 3 hours including a nice break for a dip in the cold but refreshing water. An excellent walk, from the start point it is a 15.3 km round trip. The terrain is rocky but it is partly shaded so excellent for the warmer days, the water is turquoise blue and along the you’ll come across some stunning waterfalls and deep blue pools. It was very quiet we only saw 5 - 10 people the whole day. Only the brave travel the of death to get here. It's becomes fun when the tarmac stops.! Take care but well worth a visit. Attention! This particular spot is not the waterfall. It's just the car and nothing interesting to see. If you are looking for the watefalls and the most beautiful hike in Montenegro you should follow the on the OTHER SIDE of the river. Amasing experience. Beautiful path up the river. Gate of wishes, Danilos bridge, Galerije... All in all a must see! Fantastic walk. Do be careful one of the suggested loop trails has a broken bridge across the to the way back. (The other main route is fine you just have to back track on yourself on the way back instead of covering new territory). There were no issues that we encountered (other than locals trying to make a quick buck passing fee if you continued through his garden and a parking fee for parking by the (wasn't expensive mind you) which is fair enough it is worth paying for and would be free otherwise). Be careful in the summer there aren't many shaded areas so be sure to bring lots of water and sun cream. Absolutely pure intact nature here... Loved it & felt at home... The bottom current of the is strong (depending on the season) so don't go swimming just anywhere, there are a few good spots where the is trapped and has created pools that are safer for a swim/dip... The main trail/route is about 10 km each way (until the gallery) so be prepared to about 22 km in total... After the first kilometer & after you pass the stone bridge and climb uphill the route will take you up to a gravel road, don't be spooked, that's the way it is and after a while you'll re-enter the forest trail after passing through a few farms... Amazing hike , you must to go but not when is too hot . We started from starting point in maps. But you can start also from beautiful Danilov most to reduce lenght by ~3km Great landscape, could do with re-improvement. Parked just off the main by a small campsite, paid a couple of euros to park. If you follow the down to the there are a few marked trails - beware a German man (possibly called the Dragon?) who may try to divert you off course (think the trail goes uphill through his property which he doesn't like) or may have just been a misunderstanding. Either way if you get down to the water there are no working bridges currently (the way we walked anyway), there are structures to support bridges but had been dismantled. Lovely though, and landscape was breathtaking. We visited few days before, and the bridge was completely broke. So we had to stop the hike in-between. The was very narrow and the hiking trail was not easy to find. Also, we saw a snake, so be careful. But the landscape is really beautiful though. Incredible nature. I did not see something beautiful as this for a quite some time now.
