Vrhunska arhitektura, ki dovršeno povezuje staro z novim, je bila ustvarjena prav za ta prekmurski del zemlje. Bogojinčan Franc Bajlec, ki je obiskoval tedanjo Plečnikovo šolo, je svojega profesorja obvestil o želji župnika Ivana Baše in Bogojinčanov po novi cerkvi.
