We visited this beach this afternoon (July 2022). First impression was ok when we just arrived and parked out car. There is a sign from the local authority that this beach is against swimming. So, it may be dangerous for swimming. You must pay more attention and be more careful. Pros: 1. Entrance accessible for wheelchair. 2. Parking accessible for wheelchair. 3. Free parking but limited space. 4. The place is quite wide following the river. Some trees have shadow to put your towels and enjoyed the environment. 5. The has relaxing and calm ambience. The water is quite clean. 6. There is a white sand area to lay down. 7. There are dustbins available to throw trash. 8. There is a canoe school in the river. 9. There is a cafe near the to relax. Cons: 1. The place needs more attention about cleanliness in some parts. 2. The looks so deep. Please be careful. 3. No life guard attendance. 4. No bench. Great spot to jump into the beautiful river. The current is not strong at all and it's easy to swim here Really lovely swimming spot with beach and shade. There are toilets and showers foot shower and a cafe. Not much shallow area for small children. There is a rock with a ladder for jumping in. Parking close by Beautiful view and nice path for afternoon walk. We visited place not in the season. Saw some reconstructions on the way so place will become more prettier soon Very calm & beautiful place Lovely beach! Pity Amarante doesn't keep it up as before. Yellow bar is gone and no more parasol and laying chairs 😥 still love the place though, place to relax with friends 😍 Our son goes to the kayaking club here so we're here most weekends May to September. In summer it's great, when they put the clean sand on and the water is warm enough for a relaxing swim and the cafe is open. It's a great way to start a Sunday. 4 stars because there are certainly more beautiful beaches in the area so I can't give it 5 but this is a lovely option close to the city centre.
