Friendly customer service and very good information about tourist attractions around north Portugal. The staff member who served us appeared impatient with our questions and was a bit dismissive. I didn't appreciate his service or attitude! Lovely helpful people. We visited it twice during our stay and both times they helped us out. Highly recommend calling into them if you need help!! We were in Braga during the Braga Romana festival and were lucky enough to get spots on the English tour of the festival. The tour itself was great! The tourism office was muddled about if you could sign up in advance or not. I hope they sort this out for next year. They also need more tours in English for the festival as they only take groups of 20, but there were lots of people turned away from our tour. As an English speaker, you can enjoy the music and shows, but you don't get much out of the soldier camp, as an example, without a translator. Closed in the middle of the day. All regular bus stops in the city centre are out of service and one can’t get any information. Later 2 people were sitting there, so they could easily alternate their breaks to avoid closure. Lady in the office couldn’t read a bus schedule and gave me false information. She told me bus ran every 30 minutes, when in fact it ran hourly. This made me almost miss my bus out of Braga. They seemed a bit rushed, but it the last day of a week-long festival and I was there 15 minutes before they locked the door. Friendly staff, quick and simple suggestions of where to go in Braga.
