This laguna is a beautiful corner of Albania. Very nice restaurants with very lovely views. Recommended! The Lagoon of Patok (Albanian: Laguna e Patokut) is a lagoon of the Adriatic Sea on the Mediterranean Sea in the central coast of Albania. Patoku Lagoon Created during the Holocene period, this was characterized by a geo-morphologic dynamism. Its development spanned four phases, which correspond to the formation of four lagoons, separated by littoral cordons. The fourth is the current one. A fifth (the current outer lagoon) is in an active formation process, also influenced by a rapid development of the littoral cordon in the western part. The whole is flat and characterized by an intensive tectonic process and numerous underground water bodies. During the second half of the twentieth century, human activities played an important role in the changes of this ecosystem through activities such as drainage, dam construction and deforestation. The area's physical and geographical characteristics are the main basis for its development potential. It has a relatively mild winter and fresh summer. The sun shines for an average of 2,479 hours per year. The average annual temperature is 15.5 °C, and average annual rainfall is 1,463 centimetres The has an amazing scenery especially during the sunset. The restaurants all around are very good and serve fresh food. Pretty nice but not many things to do there I came here from many years. This place it's like second home for me. The place it's amazing and the staff it's very friendly. The food it's very very good. This place it's relax for every one Ok Mesmerising nature. Delicious food. A great destination. This is a must go area!!! Patok, leaned by Adriatik shore is a large lagoon. About 1h from Tirana by car,in a very-very easy and good way,on the left you turn to find various taverns and restaurants of fish cuisine mainly. "King fish",is one of my best experiences there. Excellent staff of service.Excellent fish menu cuisine, excellent and arrangement of the place with lounge and pool, despite the Luxurious bar cafe area. Just excellent including the huge portions in very cheap prices. Good place to visit with lot of sea food restaurants. This place offers a great sight of the , breathtaking I’d say , because I was repeatedly watching the small wood houses floating in the water and the view just gets better with each hour passing by, especially at the sunset. I had lunch at this nice fish restaurant, Royal Blue , and the food was amazing. Clean place , tasty food and really organized staff. I will go somewhere else near these houses next time , because I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful atmosphere. It is really peaceful and it allows you to spend a perfect day off with your family or friends. Magic ✨️ Da visitare !! Possibilità di pesca sportiva Ristoranti in abbondanza Tranquillità e relax ( visitata in gennaio ) Be careful. You can only pay in cash in whole Patok lagoon. But it's really beautiful place with nice seafood oportunities Nice and interesting place to visit! The food is good too! Nestled on Albania's central coast, Patok offers a glimpse into the fascinating geological history of the Mediterranean. This natural wonder has evolved through four distinct phases, shaping four separate lagoons, each separated by littoral cordons. Our visits to Patok time by time and year by year left us with mixed feelings. While the potential for breathtaking beauty is undeniable, the sight of neglect and litter marred our experience. Patok Lagoon, with its geological significance, has the makings of a true gem. However, its current state calls for better conservation efforts to unlock its full splendor. For now, it remains a place of untapped potential, awaiting restoration and appreciation. But, it's totally worth visiting!
