The town is easily walkable, and the hiking trails around the most are beautiful. A hidden jem with almost no tourists. Not very popular among tourists but this is a unique experience in Netherlands. You can walk around the fortified area, having a 360 view of the inner city. It’s a 9 min bus ride from the train station. The gate looks really nice. There is also a bit of grass on top as you can see on the pictures. Also, when you walked through the gate, you will see water on the sides. The path is for bicycles and pedestians as well. Very lovely and calm place. Nice park to spend a weekend near Amsterdam. Prachtige locatie.
