Stayed here 2 nights for my birthday. Old Manor House from the 1800s, full of vintage furtniture untouched and non-modernised which made the place very special. The library was the highlight, ah the smell of books from more then 300 years ago, goosebumps. The manager explained us the history and was accommodating. Showers and toilets are shared, outside the room but we never had a problem of having to wait. The food here is ok just for convenience since there is nothing nearby. Breakfast is simple and worth the money. Garden is not that maintained but you can enjoy the sun. Beds are really really old, don’t expect comfort but enjoy the feeling of sleeping in ancient beds. If you come by car, you can explore nearby places and nature areas. Such a breathtaking entrance! I felt like I was in a movie. Our host was so charming and informative. The property is huge, old and has so much history. A little spooky in the best possible way- if you're into that vibe which I definately am. You can roam the library with their original old books- some hundreds of years old, and if you're very brave- the basement library that has even more old books. I loved everything and hope to travel back soon!
