The fee is reduced to 20 lei (4€) for entrance after 1800 hrs. We visited the Salt of Ocna Sibiului on a Wednesday afternoon around 1 PM. Parking was easy and cheap (about €2), and entry was only €7. Once inside, you get access to several where you literally float without effort. It’s hilarious and so much fun! It wasn’t crowded at all when we were there. There were quite a few people, but mostly older folks just peacefully floating in the water. There were still hundreds of sunbeds free, so no need to worry about space. A bottle of was €3, which was pretty reasonable. There’s also a mud bath where you cover yourself in black mud. It smells a bit funky, but it acts like a natural scrub and leaves your skin super soft. There are changing rooms and sweet showers to rinse off afterward. Definitely worth a visit for an hour or so. I would like to share some details that now I found them useful: The complex has 3 entrances and you pay (now in 2022) 30 lei between 8:00 and 18:00, 15 lei between 18:00 and 20:00 and after 20:00 is free. For these you get: salt swimming pool for children, a lot of salt lakes, hot showers, toilets, changing cabins, sunbeds, emergency point. The parking at gate 1 costs 10 lei. There is another huge parking at gate 2. Inside you find food, drinks and a lot of swimming accessories/toys. Each lake has a description board and you need mainly cash to pay. In town you can find a cash machine at CEC bank and a PROFI supermarket. Have a good floating time at 136 meters deep water! I offered five stars exclusively for the salty itself. The place is famous for its salty waters. People come here for therapeutic salty baths, they also use therapeutic mud from two of the pools here. However, it would be much better and safer if the and pools were better maintained, preserved, repaired, cleaned and managed; we should not forget about the toilets.
