Probably the worst experience I have ever had. First of all most people here don't speak English. Second of all shorts aren't allowed, yet this is only stated after the dressings rooms. All-in-all a 5 minute experience because I couldn't enter the pool. Asked for a refund for both me and my gf. One of the worst pools I've ever seen. Grimy, filthy and gross with mold everywhere. Showers and changing rooms disgusting. The water in the kids' is quite cold, the slide is not opened in the mornings on school days. Price remains the same, though. Also, you have to wear swimming caps. Swimming shorts are not allowed in this pool. We were not informed at the entrance so we paid but couldn’t swim. The director Dominique Andre refused to give us a refund so basically we got robbed by this guy. The is adequate for the size of the town it serves at 25 metres in length which is roped off into separate lanes for differing levels of swimmers with a play lane for children. There is also a separate for children. Both pools are a little cold at 1st but once you start exercising the water temperature is not that noticeable. I was extremely shocked at the high price increase per person all because the roof was retracted and the temperatures were in the high 20’s to 30’s, the cost for a family of 4 is very expensive, especially if they do not live in Waterloo, I think that this should be changed as taking advantage of this does not bring people to the pool, but sends them away to use other facilities in a different area perhaps preferring to pay the extra for a planned day out where they can spend the day rather than a few hours maximum. I found the open grass area and sun loungers to be very limited and there was a distinct lack of outdoor amenities available. I was also shocked at the lack of lifeguards and their attention to doing their job, the lifeguards were grouped together at ground level talking rather than being spaced out and above the giving them a clear view of the and its depth, I think that more training and guards are necessary and that lifesaving facilities should be readily available and accessible to the general public, as I didn’t see any flotation devices available for the public to use in case assistance was required. 1/10 for public safety due to the above mentioned as I could only count 2 lifeguards seated together continuously talking with non patrolling the area at anytime while I was in and using the premises. What a bad surprise to discover that the entry price goes from 5€ to 10€ because the roof is open. I’ve been swimming in this for years, but this new rule is a shame ! You take too much advantage of the customer wallet, I would like to know what justify to double the entry price because the roof is open ?! Horrible, small, strict dress code, early closing time, terrible staff. I never want to see anything else like this. The worst swimming on the planet. The is clean and nice. But it was over 50 people at the same time in the pool. So if you want to train swimming, this is not the for you. But for kidz playing it’s good.
