A very fun way to treat yourself to a little adventure and recreation. We rented a SUP board for the first time in our life and had a great time. The guys did a great job of explaining what we had to do. Renting a SUP board is €10 per hour. There are daily and multi-day tours that are ranked by difficulty and demands . Day tours are generally not demanding and along the picturesque coast is exceptional. Tour descriptions, difficulty and prices (which are up-to-date) are available on the Shakayak website. An amazing whether you choose morning or afternoon tours. And the one where you welcome the dawn on the open sea is especially incredible. The team that organizes and runs the tours, Thomas and Sabian, are fantastic. Professional, patient, they will introduce you to the history of this side of Pelion. An adventure for every recommendation As an ex instructor in the UK, I was very impressed with this tour. We did the Fikastra beach tour which was sold as a 4 hour but actually was more like 5 hours which was a pleasant surprise (perhaps because our group was on the bigger size)! The tour is run by an experienced guide who has been doing it for 10 years. Prior to the session, I saw him carefully checking the up to date weather forecast to ensure the safety of all participants. For our there was also a safety boat (a powerboat) which was reassuring should anything have happened. All these things combined made for a very professional set up. The actual consists of visiting a freshwater spring flowing into the ocean, we got to see and hold a sea urchin, and also going in a sea cave. At the beach we were served fresh Dakos (this is a brown dense bread, with tomato sauce and fresh crumbled cheese on top) and Iced tea, which was very nice. It was cold and made fresh and you can have it without certain ingredients if you have an allergy. You don't have to be a particularly strong paddler for this trip; we only actually paddled 7km, and you can go in single or double kayaks which is your choice. They are also sit on top kayaks so very stable. There are plenty of rest stops so I wouldn't worry about doing this if you haven't paddled before. The staff were super friendly (spoke excellent English) and the whole was a real highlight of our holiday Top tips: -You must wear a t-shirt under your boyancy aid so wear an old one for this. -You also might want a dry t-shirt for Fikastra beach as it's in the shade so a little cooler. -It's a good idea to wear some sturdy shoes (that can get wet) for the for when you need to climb on some rocks for one part. I only had flips flops which were allowed but weren't ideal. - You pay for the at the end in Victoria's café. - The instructor takes photos throughout the which he uploads to Dropbox within 3 days for no extra charge. They were lovely photos including action shots! - Dry bags are provided and there is a small shed to lock up personal items if needed. Excellent tour with Sabrian guiding us through narrow channels, into caves, around bays and down the rugged coast. We stopped at a few special places with underwater springs to drink from and a cute beach for a picnic using local products, swimming twice! The sea was a bit rough but Sabrian did a great job of confidently navigating us. Many thanks 🙏 It was a dream trip! Under the professional guidance of Thomas, Sabrian and George we did 4 days of rowing to magical places and a day of hiking. All the planning routes, logistics, support, treats, pleasant surprises made our group an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed it so much. Highly recommended.❤ We traveled as a group for a for the second time. The was well organized down to the little detailes. The location for the were uniquely and butiful. The gears and are of high class and well maintained. The team took care of the logistics which saved us the usual hassle of carrying the kayaks. Bottom line. Highly recommend ! Fantastic experience. Highly recommended. Many thanks to Shakayak and especially to our guide for taking us to this wonderful adventure. We called Shakayak at the morning and 2 hours later were in the sea. Near 4 hours of tour in beautiful Aegean sea between Damouchari port and Fakistra beach. Several stops where the guide discover the secrets of east Pelion shore including caves, natural ports, etc... You have a time to swim, don't forget snorkels or goggles, the water is so transparent. Don't worry about the waves, if the weather suddenly changed. Our instructor was close , explained how to paddle in wave sea and we just enjoyed the moment. For part of us it was a first time! Finally you can meet dolphins if you are lucky as we are. There are more surprises that I leave you to discover with Shakayak. Unforgettable with Shakayak! I recently had the pleasure of going on a in Greece with Tomas and his crew, Sabrian and Tassos, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, Tomas went above and beyond to ensure that our adventure was enjoyable and safe. Their knowledge of the local waters and expertise in made me feel confident and at ease throughout the trip. They provided us with top-quality equipment and gave clear instructions on techniques, ensuring that we were comfortable navigating the waters. The itinerary planned by Tomas was exceptional. We explored stunning coastlines, hidden coves, and breathtaking caves that I would have never discovered on my own. Their passion for the environment and conservation was evident as they shared fascinating insights about the marine life and ecosystems we encountered along the way. Not only did Tomas provide a remarkable experience, but they also prioritized our safety at all times. They were vigilant in monitoring the weather conditions and wind, ensuring that we were always in safe waters. Their professionalism and attention to detail were truly commendable. In addition to their expertise, Tomas was friendly, approachable, and had a great sense of humor. They created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making the entire even more enjoyable. Their enthusiasm and passion for were contagious, and it was evident that they genuinely love what they do. I highly recommend Shakayak team for anyone looking to have an incredible in Greece.
