Lots of fun for all ages to have. Service is great. We had a fantastic trying axe as a birthday treat with family. Logan was a teacher and even those of us who were less coordinated were landing the axe fairly consistently by the end. Such a fun activity! Amazing fun, if you are okay with heights it's a brilliant active adventure. It requires a basic level of fitness/health but you don't have to be an athlete. I laughed all the way round. Don't take yourself too seriously and you will have much fun. Back again but only my son got a go this for a friends party, I was so jealous but so proud of him he is nearly 9 and he had so much fun. Whether was lovely too. Booked for a birthday treat. It was only the two of us and it was raining but it was still fun (We live in England so if you avoid doing stuff in the rain 60% of the you would stay indoors). We had Jay who was a good laugh and went through all the steps. Did one handed and two handed. My partner hadn't done it before and Jay spent a long trying to aid him in hitting the board by moving his positioning and once he got it, he didn't stop hitting the target. We will definitely book again. Just to note if there is more of you participating you will get half the to throw. But still a lot of fun. We then went for a walk in the grounds and it was beautiful. They also had small stall with all sorts of amazing things. Fantastic at the treetop adventure. (ages 9 and 8) had a blast. One was terrified of the zip line and in tears, but Isaac did a job of encouraging her, step by step. Super professional and felt very well looked after - would it. Me, my husband and our 6yr old went not sure what to expect and we had the best time. The are all super friendly, the adventure plus course was really good for our 6yr old who was sooo excited throughout the whole experience. He also did the mini jeep laps & enjoyed the fact that he got to drive his own car. We will definitely be returning soon. Absolutely invigorating experience. Loved every single second!! Not for the faint hearted! However, if you enjoy a physically challenging endurance activity, I highly it!! The were very informative, professional and friendly. Completely out of my comfort zone and I will most definitely return very soon!! It's a very place to go, though you do have to plan with weather in mind. We went there when it was and sunny, but I can imagine it would be a pain in rainy weather. The surrounding area is really nice, so you can roam around there, and their refund policy is also very generous, so you can cancel at the last minute if you need to. The actual tree tops are set out in different themes, so you can do stuff with more ziplines, wobbly paths, etc. Overall, it is a very good place to spend a few hours. We tried the 'stumped' game today. It cost £10 and had 10 different puzzles to complete which were scattered around the forest. The (11 and 7) both really enjoyed it. Frustratingly we were told at the start that one of the lock boxes (which delivers you a letter to decode at the end) was not working properly. However, there were actually two boxes that were broken. I fed back about this and the fact it doesn't cost a lot to replace so surely this should have been done if they knew it wasn't working. It meant we got really frustrated as we thought we had done the puzzles wrong. Also the bottom spinner in the spin puzzle trapped my daughters finger, which led to a lot of tears. Again this was fed back so hopefully they do something about it! All in all, despite those issues the really enjoyed this as it was something different to do in the forest. I would definitely it if you are on a budget and want a bit of fun without the costs of the actual high ropes courses. They let far too many people on so the queues at each platform are huge. Most circuits end on the same zip line which builds a massive backlog. We were on for 1hr15 and managed the 2 smallest laps. We were then told we were out of for the main laps! Not enough instructors helping/encouraging the nervous who were holding up the lines. Worst Go Ape we've been to. My husband and I received axe as a gift, it definitely wouldn’t be our first choice of but we had a !. Our party host Richard was friendly, he was very thorough in his explanations of our safety procedures. We expected to be axes for an hour which didn’t seem too much fun but there were several games to play which made the really fun, it amazing how competitive a grown up can get over a sticker !. The site itself was lovely, you could easily spend a few hours before or after your wandering around. We were really pleasantly surprised by this and would definitely it. We had a time, Harriet (our instructor) was brilliant she made the axe fun and enjoyable. Highly Did the Treetop Challenge with my over the February Half Term holiday, and had a time. Our first attempt was called off halfway through due to very high winds, but we were staying locally overnight so the Go Ape team just rebooked us in for the following morning. My were actually really happy about that, as it meant they got out on the course both days that we were there, instead of just the one! I'd say the Coombe Park course is the best of the 4 different Go Ape locations we've done so far, with plenty to challenge everyone in the group, and the were all excellent throughout. We had a really enjoyable and would definitely recommend. Excellent and amazing for my and me for the Treetop Adventure that we did. All the were friendly, kind and helpful with us. Special mention to Tatiana, Naomi and Jai who were great! Highly this place. My daughter had wanted to go axe for a while and having enjoyed a lot of the other activities at Go Ape Coombe Abbey, we booked a session for 10 of us. Our host, Logan was brilliant and gave us the full safety briefing and demonstrated the 2 methods of throwing. It took us a while to master it, but we were soon competing against each other and the banter was flowing! I'd this for a group activity, and ask for Logan as he ensured we had a time! Thank you. Had a fab day. Tat was our instructor and they were brilliant Was really fun, the obstacles were good. The were very nice. I love how they made us feel included even though we were older. Theo was really and kind whenever we spoke to him. We tried Go Ape 3 times previously, and the was great. This we tried "Stumped", with high hopes. The was extremely frustrating and disappointing - in one word, terrible! Some of the code boxes were not working. We entered the correct codes, but the boxes didn't open. One code box was simply stuck, we couldn't change 1 line of the codes. Two of the games were very hard to locate - we gave up in the end. Some games seem to use very strange logics, which we didn't bother to find out in the end, as the overall was so poor. We were so fed up. It also took a lot longer than the advertised 1 hour. I requested for refund. The offered half refund only, and she was not friendly. Given that a number of the code boxes didn't work, the wasted and the frustration & disappointment caused to me and my boys. It should have been full refund plus compensation. Go Ape shouldn't sell this at all, since the code boxes are not working! I can’t thank Sharj enough for completely turning my day around at Go Ape. I arrived feeling stressed and a little out of sorts, but his kindness, enthusiasm, and absolute dedication to his job made all the difference. From the moment I met him, it was clear he genuinely cares about making every guest’s special. What really stood out was how Sharj went above and beyond—not just for me, but for everyone around him. His positive energy was contagious, and he made sure I felt comfortable, safe, and excited for the adventure ahead. But what truly left an impact on me was witnessing his quick thinking and bravery in action. At one point, a guest found themselves in a really dangerous situation—stuck mid-course and visibly panicked. Without hesitation, Sharj sprang into action, calmly talking them through it, securing their safety, and making sure they got back down safely. It was incredible to see his expertise and composure under pressure. That moment made me realize just how much of a difference people like Sharj make. He’s not just doing a job—he’s changing people’s experiences, ensuring their safety, and even saving lives. I left Go Ape feeling lighter, happier, and genuinely grateful. If you’re lucky enough to visit, I hope you get to meet Sharj—you’ll leave with a story worth telling. Mini land rovers very poor value for money and the claim on the website that the takes 20-25 minutes is massively inaccurate. We had 5 laps and we were done in 12 minutes - the track is tiny! Factor in the £3.95 'booking fee' to pay for it and all in all, left disappointed and with the feeling of having been ripped off. The chap managing the mini land rover was however, really and pleasant, otherwise this review would be a well deserved one star. My partner and I went to try Axe-throwing for the first time. The instructor Hariett was patient, informative and made sure we had a very fun time. Very inclusive environment and we felt comfortable to ask questions about technique. Definitely will come again! Axe at Coventry Go Ape, Logan was a host/instructor, made the hour well worth the drive! Thanks for your help, a experience! Ross and Graham 👍🏻🪓🎯 Took my son for a birthday treat, we both enjoyed the experience, better than expected and the were very and helpful.
