A komáromi erőd egy szép történelmi hely, amely egykor megvédte a várost a török hadak előrenyomulásától. Közép-Európa legnagyobb erődrendszerének egyik része. Építése a 16. században kezdődött, az Oszmán Birodalom fenyegetése miatt. Két fő részből áll: Az Öregvár 1546-ban készült el, olasz hadmérnökök tervei alapján. Az Újvárat a 17. században építették hozzá, a korszerű haditechnika követelményeinek megfelelően. Nagyon ráférne a felújítás, néhány része meglehetősen romos. Látogatni csak idegenvezetéssel lehet magyar és szlovák nyelven. The Komárno is a beautiful historical site that once protected the town from the advance of the Ottoman armies. It is part of one of the largest systems in Central Europe. Construction began in the 16th century in response to the threat of the Ottoman Empire. The complex consists of two main sections: the Old Fortress, completed in 1546 based on the designs of Italian military engineers, and the New Fortress, added in the 17th century to meet the requirements of modern military technology. Today, many parts of the are in need of renovation, with some areas in quite a dilapidated state. Visits are only possible with a guided tour, offered in Hungarian and Slovak. I went with a group, for the price, it is worth it, the history of this is wild and it is a relaxing place. The place where you can feel how the history is breathing. There is history written in these walls. We were here during Basement Festival and I consider the feeling of this place a one of the most interesting. Hope we will come back next time. Great history and interesting tour by lovely young lady Opening hours are limited to 3 specific times (9:00, 11:00, 14:00, in summer also 16:00) from Tue to Friday. During the weekends opened only from July to September (11:00, 14:00 and 16:00). Made great job to limit visiting hours.
