Lovely place - extensive area with lots of parcels, next to a beautiful river (with a nice patio on water), interesting russian bania above a fire, small but very clean toilet and a very friendly owner. Minus for an extra paid shower and closeness to the road (wilhich at that time was being renovated). Great location near Sigulda castle, but easily accessible from main road. Site has various camping facilities, also a decent river beach and good open swimming possibilities. We hired three canoes - reasonable prices and helpful staff. Good experience and a recommendation from us! The perfect camp site! Directly at the bank of river Gauja. All equipment is in nice shape and built with much love to the detail. The owners who speak English and German helped us organizing our canoe trip on Gauja by driving us back to our car. Thanks for your effort! That was extraordinary! I totally can recommend a stay with this host! We stayed here while kayaking Gauja river. Convenient place to stop over on a trip, if you don't want to take tent and sleeping item with you in the kayak. Small camping house for two. Small teracce with 2 chairs and table outside. Small kitchenette for quests to boil water for tea, coffee and microwave some food. It's a nice place just by river Gauja. You can sail with kajaks or canoe boats, swim in Gauja and spend a night in a tent or little wooden houses. There are toilets, shower, BBQ places and little kitchen, but note that is little busy in summer, but I guess it's a big place. Have to pay for parking, BBQ place, tent if you want to stay. At 12 the kayak and SUP groups arrive and noise starts. The picknick tables and are blocked and the otherwise quiet camping turns into a party zone. Only one toilette and one solar depending mostly cold shower. Nice Sauna barrel for 30Euros/hr and WiFi is good. Overall Too expensive for the offered service (no reduced price for kids). Nice place. Everything is clean and pretty. Good for cramping and enjoying the nature here.
