Definitely a lot of pros: convenient, nicely arranged, comfortable, very atmospheric (it’s and old factory so loft-style), with cool common areas and a lot of facilities (rope and trampoline park included). It’s close to all the hiking trails in the Gauja national park. Staff speaks excellent English. Food and coffee are good. Some small cons: breakfast 9-11 so not for an early bird. Not for night owls either as we arrived around 20.30 and the kitchen was already closed. Cafe Zeit in Ligatne is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy interior that makes you feel right at home. One of the best things about this place is the regular live concerts and events they host. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy some great music, whether it's a local band or a themed event. The vibe is always lively and fun, and it really brings the community together. The food and drinks are excellent too, with a good selection of local specialties. Highly recommend stopping by, especially during one of their events! Food is basic and prices are to expensive for quality it is understandable as place is made for tourists.... and my expectations was to high. Chicken salad was to dry. Champignon soup was generic tasted like made from powder. Excellent place for breakfast, with friends, children, all family. Do not skip coffee- premium taste. Charming place. Clean rooms, great service and outstanding breakfast. We visited in winter but it looks like a fun place for kids in summer with lots of different activities. The only complaint is the grumpy security guard 😄 This place is really cool for the whole family. A super spot.
