What an amazing place! Beautiful condition, really accessible. Spent far too long here! Loved it Open on Fridays. Definitely worth a visit. This circuit hosted racing from 1926 - 1972 including Formula 1 and the Grand Prix de France! You can feel the history from the pits to the press room! Imagine the diner in the restaurants witnessing the spectacle just metres from the racing! What a cool and unexpected place to find! I'm a big Formula 1 fan so to experience a little of a track from the 50s frozen in time was a experience. It's a shame that nothing is happening on the site at the moment. I hope the essence of the site will survive on into the future. If you're into retro car nostalgia and near by it's worth the visit. photo spot for your car or bike too. Interesting and somehow spooky to an abandoned race course. You can almost hear the engines in these grandstands. Be sure to get out of your car and explore. Go through the tunnel underneath to the other side. Climb into the stands and watch the highway traffic zoom by. Take some photos and think about all the races that took place here. What a magical place! We visited around noon, on a weekday. There was no one there. You can climb the grandstands, it's all very sturdy and feels secure. Absolutely amazing free photo opportunity for anyone. Just bring your car, park it up and take photos A good place to stop enroute however it is what it is. It’s amazing to see the remains of the and have a wander around, however there really isn’t anything else to do. Quite cool and always a good photo opportunity though! It's a place to stop for half an hour. Not used for over 50 years. They have started some maintenance work on the site. The old adverts are refreshed, bringing back some vibrant colour to the place. One of the old buildings is been revamped to offer some retail space. You don't have to wait long before some very nice cars call in for a so never dull as you never know what is going to arrive next. It was to drive the old F1 racing circuit from the 1950s. We pulled over to stop by the stands for a few minutes for a photo or two, but unfortunately we were quickly moved on by the police. So be careful if you decide to stop (or drive as if you’re in the F1 race) - there may be a policeman watching! No charge for entry as it is a public road. Have been twice now, location for photos and to get out and have a look around. You can go up inside the pit buildings as well as up into the opposite. Unfortunately I got kicked off by some angry French police who said I can't park in front of the pit buildings??? In future I won't be detouring through this area if that's the way they want to treat fans. The circuit's buildings and are a sight to behold, thanks to their history and often human scale. A small group of volunteers maintains them. It's wonderful that the and paddock, which stand somewhat surreally within the landscape, exist. Support the volunteers by buying a few souvenirs. If you are interested in motorsport then this is a must see! I’ve seen pictures online which look but actually seeing it for real was simply sensational. Credit to the people who look after it and keep it looking authentic. I love the fact that (mostly) it’s not gated off to prevent access, you can actually go in the rooms and view the road just as the ‘officials’ would have done back in the day. A place to get some snaps of your vehicle. Loved it. Always a stopping point when in the area and a photo opportunity. Marvel at the refurbished stands and pits area, and be amazed at the length of the straight! Well worth a visit! It’s a beautiful place, but there are “no parking” signs on both sides of the road, so you’re supposed to park off the road. You could probably get away with it if you’re quick, but we got unlucky and police stopped and asked us to leave. Amazing little slice of Motorsport history. Managed to get there for sunrise so absolutely no one around and amazing views. Not sure on the tourist centre as we were there so early, but definitely worth a detour to see! It has already been said by so many before, but the nostalgic pit lane and grandstand to this historic former motor racing circuit still retains a very special atmosphere from its glorious past. A huge thank you and well done to those of you who preserve and maintain it.
