Lovely round this great park lots of nice tracks to well maintained carpark good and free 😀 Lovely pub hidden away down a secluded lane and a nice pint of Doombar and a red wine A perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful walks, picnic area, refreshments and a playground. What more could you ask for. Lovely clean car parks, no rubbish on the ground. Went for a 6 mile from the car park. When we got back, we had a very lovely from the van. They do different types of alternative milk and vegan hot chocolate, I had a with oat milk. They also sell different types of biscuits and cakes. There was only one toilet and it was a portaloo, but it was clean and not smelly. It gets very busy on Sunday mornings at the moment so it can be difficult to secure a car park space (3rd August 2025). However, once away from the fields nearest the entrance there is still plenty of room and it doesn't feel at all crowded. Still a place well worth visiting if you like off lead walks with your dog and young children will like the playground and adventures in the woods. The van is a huge plus but beware, the porta loo can be very wiffy like all of them! But it is kept clean and usually has loo roll so good for urgent needs. Such a lovely place to walk, especially if you have a crazy dog like me! The mixture of woods and open spaces is great, as is Mason's van that is situated in the larger car park. Fully recommend their hot chocolates with cream and marshmallow! Also, if you've got small people there's a nice play park with the best bit of apparatus I can't resist myself at the ripe old age of 42! 😂 And no payment for parking!!! A real rarity these days. Tip, great in summer as so many lovely shady routes through the trees and beautiful in autumn as the trees look stunning. Watch out for the back path in winter, gets very soggy, wellies are required! Really pleasant place for a walk, free and plentiful parking is incredible. Nice van and lots of bins everywhere. Plenty of friendly polite dog walkers couldn't ask for better really! Also good for anyone in a mobility scooter etc plenty of hard standing and paths to use! Love this place, van always there, free parking, water for dogs to cool off in at the start/end, lots of walking routes and lovely little wildlife nook Great space, lots of different routes to round. Only negative is that a lot of people have their dogs off lead, so if your dog is on lead and doesn't like other dogs coming over to them they might find it a bit stressful. My dog was on lead and doesn't mind other dogs but there were a lot around! Always a great with doggies n my son, safe enclosed play area and forest areas for kids to explore and make stick dens. Always clean with plenty free parking. Very nice coffees, hot chocs and milkshakes too from cool little van that has Instagram build log !
