I've been to poppodium Atak on several occasions during their basic grooves parties which always were a great success. Entry is always fast although the crowd sometimes is a bit young ~early 20. The venue is spacious with plenty of room for walking and sitting. If you happen to be in Enschede and something is playing here you like. Would not hesitate to go and check it out. Worked here with red snapper and really liked this venue. The staff work hard for you and everyone tries to help if they can. An excellent place to watch live music in both the large and small hall. Nice place for about 500 people. We were in Enschede to see Xzibit and I would go there again any time. The security was very polite. We had to lock up our jackets before entering the main area( for whatever reason ) this will cost you 2€, price for beer was 2,5€ which is O.K. for an concert. You have to pay with special coins which you can get there in exchange for €. I did not have to wait long time to get a beer and the concert was awesome, a bit hot maybe but no problem at all. P.S.: If you arrive there earlier than planed you can chill out in the Metroploe Cafe which is next to the entrance :) It was an amazing experience, went to Basic Grooves presents Freddy K and I enjoyed every second of it. It's a beautiful location and the staff is very friendly here as well. Everything is arranged nicely, prices are pretty good for a location like this. The sound is just amazing! Saw Kerry King there and it was brutal! Metropool offers a wide variety of events and they are usually not that expensive. Drinks can be bought here and the atmosphere is great. It also offers young and upcoming talents a podium and they have a good connection with the community. I would highly recommend people to go here as the events are usually a lot of fun. The coins are bought at a machine and your belongings don't go in a manned wardrobe - they have expensive lockers for that. It used to be such a lovely venue.
