Huge selection of draft and bottled beers. The pub food is not that great, needs some more attention. Service is good, friendly and attentive waiters. The ambiance is really nice, the historical aspects are left as they were and well blended with the industrial look. Overall a nice place to enjoy some good moments with your friends. The inside of the church has a cozy atmosphere and during the summer it is very pleasant to sit in the garden. Even when it’s busy, the staff is always fast and helpful. It’s my go to when looking for a nice and fun bar for the weekend in Enschede. I would definitely recommend trying the honey flavored beer. Edit: we went back and tried the food, specifically the gumbo and sweet potato dish. Both which were very flavorful and fresh tasting. They are a bit pricey but definitely worth it. I recently celebrated my PhD promotion here, and I have to say. it was a fantastic experience. The unique atmosphere of the brewery set inside a church was absolutely captivating, and the host was incredibly welcoming. I ordered the vegetarian stamppot, a classic Dutch winter dish, and the manager went above and beyond to create a wonderfully original version of it. The effort truly showed, and the food was greatly appreciated by all my guests. Overall, it was the perfect venue for a special occasion, and I highly recommend it. I love this place. I've been to hundreds of brewpubs all over the world, and this is one of my favorites. Good mix of their own beers, including Belgian, German, and American styles. I've not had a bad one yet. While puppy sitting in Enschede at my buddy’s flat, I stopped by at the end of a warm day to sample one of their home brews. I chose the Triple Rock Church. It turned out to be a perfectly serviceable triple: refreshing and bright at 8.0% abv . No complaints about that. When I first sat down at the very welcoming looking garden in the back, I didn’t have to wait long (3 minutes) before the service staff asked me for my order. However, after I’d finished off the beer, it took about 7 minutes before I could get the attention of the wait staff colleague to pay. I was initially told that I could pay inside. I asked if I could remain outside and pay using one of their wireless pay points. The staff person seemingly grudgingly acknowledged my request and returned inside. About 7 minutes later, the same staff person (almost happily) informed me that one of their machines was malfunctioning and the other had a low battery. I acquiesced ( also grudgingly😔.) I like the promise of ambiance in the garden. The prompt initial service is also worth mentioning. The menu has a fine looking selection of beers. My only recommendation is that my expectation to pay while still seated be met obligingly. The venue and drinks are good but unfortunately the food is quite bad. I had the spareribs and they were overcooked, unseasoned and extremely dry which made the eating experience disastrous for the 21€ you pay for them. I really do not recommend eating them as I got quite sick from them. We didn’t eat but they had a great assortment of and the bartender was wonderful! Really great atmosphere and cool interior. There was a really great backyard as well where u could sit.
