Worthing Assembly Hall

Brighton, United Kingdom Concert hall

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Good acoustics for the audience, and comfortable seats though a little strange to be sitting at a gig. The bar shuts while the acts are performing, which seems anachronistic in 2025. Saw Hawkwind. Up in the balcony the sound wasn't very good so went in downstairs and it was much better. Bar closes while the acts are on.....(Why?). Staff are super friendly. Not sure why it's all seated though. Had to dance in the aisles.... Lovely venue but in desperate need of tlc. Toilets smell awful & chairs in need of replacing as torn & filling exposed. A real shame as staff all lovely & really helpful. On a good note highly recommend Sing the Musicals as was such a fun evening . Lovely kept venue with a good size stage suitable for a good range of events. perfectly adequate facilities for the size of the venue. Accessibility for all and Parking was easy and free due to finding a spot in the nearby streets after 6pm. Saw the mighty Hawkwind there. Excellent gig but every expense spared on the quite uncomfortable seating. Not enough legroom. Smelly accessible toilet. Reasonable acoustics. Saw Jason Manford last night 18th March. Seats in stalls very comfy for this type of venue. Staff excellent especially gentlemen organising the bar queue during interval. Jason Manford was excellent as well. The venue is a bit like a school hall. The seats are not particularly comfortable or accommodating. The main thing to consider is not book tickets front left as you are not permitted to stand as it restricts the view for folk in wheelchair area. I am not go to grumble about the place itself, it does the job. But we went to see Jimmy Carr a week ago and it was so uncomfortably hot in there and everyone was sweating.
