An expansive pebble with some areas of sand. The pebbles are varied & interesting, mainly comprising of flint, chalk and sandstone. I saw no litter or contamination on the beach. When the tide goes out, it can be slightly muddy as you walk towards the sea. It's good for beachcombing; I saw several interesting shells and a mermaid's purse (egg case). There are several attractions along the including the pier & lido and there are several public toilets available. At the time of writing, the is strictly a dog-free zone with possible fines enforced. It is a nice pebbly with lots of space. It’s been 30 years since I last visited Worthing beach, have to say it’s 30 times better than 30 years ago. I remember it struggling and quite run down, bit it’s now fairly vibrant and looking really clean and definitely a worth visiting definitely an upgrade on Bognor and a lot cleaner than Brighton. Also plenty to do as you have the pier and all the Victorian architecture that’s goes with this period definitely a thumbs up. Parking fairly cheap as well, either £7 for 5 hrs or £13 for the day Very peaceful Stopped for my lunch break loved the serenity of this place.. Free parking as a little but away from the centre.. Felt like I was in the Costa Del Sol.... Pebble but that didn't bother me .. Very quiet ...few dog walkers and a couple of bathers Will be going ba k very soon Hopefully It was a lovely day out. My family and I had ice cream from a vendor near the pier, then we walked along the beach. It was definitely worth the visit. Lovely sunny day to share with Alan. The smell of the seaweed, the sound of the waves. We had a delicious meal at the Perch on the pier. It was relaxing. Great to go to a place which is disable and wheelchair friendly. Loved the but hate how there are bans on dogs for 2/3rds of the year. Put off retirement here by prejudice against dogs. Nice seaside experience in Worthing. Stoney beach, nice pier. Great place to walk. It's the sea and its air let's you know. The old buildings were beautiful to take in and admire. However they do need some loving and up keep. Parking just £2.80 for full day Pebble – A Stunning & Unique Seaside Escape! I recently visited Pebble with my friends, and it was a refreshing change from typical sandy shores! The smooth, colorful pebbles, clear waters, and serene atmosphere made it a perfect day out. Beautiful, I can see that during the day it can be very busy. However, I am basing this review on the fact that we arrived at the at 9pm, and for that reason it was gorgeous. At that time of night, it was nice and peaceful, and being that it's summer it was still light. The view was lovely! It is a stone like Brighton, but it's not as bad, and a car park near the seafront is free after 6pm. I would highly recommend visiting if your not far, and visit late evening. A coachload of us arrived in a really windy Worthing on a Tuesday in early September. No chance of a paddle as the wind was very cold. A few went shopping (bagged a few things), a few went exploring and nearly all of us went to a seafront cafe for a very nice lunch in the warm. Town was neat and tidy (what we saw of it) and people walking their dogs on the Prom were very friendly. We certainly had a lot of cobwebs blown away by the 'fresh' sea air! Worthing is a beautiful golden-brown cobbled that stretches for miles on either side. I love visiting as I feel safe and the area is clean and the people are very friendly. Worthing is one of those places that balances natural beauty with a calm, welcoming atmosphere. On clear days, the water sparkles with a soft, silvery light, and when the tide is out, you can walk far out across smooth, rippled sand. The promenade adds to the charm—lined with cafés, gardens, and gentle activity—yet it never feels overwhelming or crowded. Sunsets at Worthing are particularly striking, painting the coastline in warm golds and pinks, creating a serene and almost meditative scene. It’s not dramatic like some cliff-lined coasts, but that’s part of its beauty: it’s peaceful, understated, and easy to lose yourself in, whether you’re strolling, sitting with a book, or just listening to the waves.
