We had come all the way from Basel to spend few hours here. Old in Bern is very popular with tourists and locals. It starts from station itself. The narrow cobble stone pedestrian only streets with all around adds to its charm. There are a lot of boutique shops, bars, cafes and restaurants everywhere. It is declared UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its buildings, fountains, bridges and churches. The transport service was excellent. The overall ambiance in Old was very vibrant. Bern’s Old Viewpoint offers an enchanting glimpse into the city’s timeless charm. From this vantage point, you’re greeted by a breathtaking panorama of terracotta rooftops, winding streets, and the graceful Aare River below. The viewpoint’s elevated position makes it ideal for capturing memorable photos, especially during golden hour when warm sunlight washes over the skyline. Benches and tram-access nearby add to the convenience, making it accessible to both locals and tourists. The historical ambiance—highlighted by centuries-old and distant cathedral spires—instills a sense of wonder and appreciation for Swiss heritage. A truly magical spot to pause and soak in Bern’s beauty. Bern’s Old Viewpoint offers an enchanting glimpse into the city’s timeless charm. Breathtaking Views from Bern's Historic Heart! 🌄 Just visited the **Aussichtspunkt Berner Altstadt** (Bern Old Viewpoint) and wow—this spot is a hidden gem! 🏰 From here, you can soak in panoramic views of Bern’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town, with its iconic red rooftops, the winding Aare River, and the distant Alps painting the horizon. 📸✨ Standing here, it’s easy to see why Bern is called one of Europe’s most picturesque capitals. The blend of charm and natural beauty is pure magic. Don’t miss the chance to snap a photo of the **Zytglogge clock tower** or watch the sunset cast golden hues over the city! 🌇 **Pro tip**: Visit during sunrise or sunset for an extra dose of serenity—and bring a coffee (or Swiss chocolate 🍫) to savor the moment. Richtig toll hier. It's really beautiful, in others words heaven on earth Ein Punkt reicht manchmal, um ihn Kontakt zu bleiben mit den "Bärner-Erinnerungen". ;) When my wife and I arrived the capital by train, we immediately took bus to the spot. The here is simply unparalleled! It's been 11 years since I last visited Bern. I should come back in the near future! That place is straight out of a fairytale. 🌊 Bern’s Summer Floating Paradise Float down the crystal-clear Aare River through the heart of Bern’s old — a unique urban swimming experience and local summer tradition. 🏊🏼♂️🏊♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊♀️🏊🏼♂️ Just walking in the center of the old here in winter time, it was very nice cold 😃 I can say it worth to visit here (p1)place it looks very clean, all the styles are completely stable and beautiful, (p2)people here are busy walking up and nice, (p3)Products it’s look everything good, (p4)Price it’s normal high price/ clothing/food whatever, I can also say (p5)Parking area wonderful you can get free parking Nice…. Nice place even in autumn and foggy weather. We walked towards it next to a little place with 3 brown bears...- in the middle of the town!! Nice of the Bern river, old and a church. There's a cafeteria while you are at the right spot, with some good coffee, cakes and refreshments and yes it's expensive, everything is expensive in Switzerland. 老城區! I was here when the weather wasn't good. However, it's still and ancient. The is walkable. If you don't have time, 3hours are also enough to see some highlights there. Great place to visit. Views of the old city, the river flowing, around the we're incredible. There are plenty of shops and eating establishments. Parking was easy ( at the Rathouse Public Parking establishment). We greatly enjoyed our visit. We were in Bern for a couple of hours only so we chose to go to this viewpoint to see the most of the city. It was up there and I would definitely recommend it. You can take the tram back if you're tired from the walk. I love Bern for its old atmosphere: cozy cobbled streets, views of the river and hills. It is truly the unofficial capital of Switzerland. I always return to this with pleasure. Amazing from the bridge The first sight of any is always surprising, but in the case of Bern it’s amazing to realise that every image you see is beautiful; it’s simply unparalleled. The capital of Switzerland, whose historic centre was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, is seductive, attractive and absolutely charming; from squares, to contemporary museums, an astronomical clock or a fantastic natural environment, there are many things to see in Bern, a set of streets, totally pedestrian, narrow and winding that delight all tourists who visit Bern and that causes everyone, without exception, to end up surrendered at his feet. Let’s start! Lovely place for in love couples to see the sunset and the skyline of Bern Love this place. Good to walk around Im really glad i made the detour and went i to Bern on my way to Geneva. and unique old town. place … I’m in love 泡腳好地方🤣🤣🤣🤣 We walked miles and miles from our hotel and didn’t get tired seeing this lovely place. We took the tram going back though. The visit was worthwhile. It was awesome. Loved it! Great of the from the rose garden!! The is absolutely stunning and worth going to admire it.
