Fantastic view of the mountains at the top of Lobhorn Hut. Long hike but worth the view especially the lake at the back. For those wanna relive kampong life, visit the toilet. Lolz. Located just under the mountain tops, this classic hut was great. The bunk bed mattress was comfy and we found the hut warm. Outside you are treated to scenery and nights dark skies. The hike up from Isenfluh was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist, to see the lake, not this restaurant. I'm pleased we stopped in here for a look, reasonable prices for food and drink ($5) for a locally made drink. But for me it was the view, which was 10/10. Hardly any people here at all due to the somewhat grueling hike to get there. Fantastic spot. The apple and almond strudel was great! We walked from Sulwald to the Lobhornhütte and back. The food was amazing, especially the pastry (Kuchen). Great stay at the very start of the hiking season in mid-May. Quite a decent amount of snow still around on approach to the hut (and the nearby attraction Sulseewli lake). Unobstructed view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau unrivalled. Hut condition very good, with Christine and team providing excellent hospitality and food (homemade pesto was very tasty). As a bonus, I even got to see the northern lights from the hut as my stay coincided with one of the strongest solar storms in decades. Also special shoutout to Christine for exceptionally allowing me to charge my phone and camera as I stayed for two nights. A challenging yet stunningly beautiful hike will lead you to the Lobhornhutte. Christine, the host, prepared an amazing 3 course meal for my friends and I. We also enjoyed lots of wine and liquor that night. We slept well, Christine made us a great breakfast, and we hiked down. Recommendations: water proof hiking shoes, layers for warmth, camera ! If u need to charge something, bring a battery pack. Very cool place, excellent lunch. A bit of a hike to get to and back.
