Thanks for evening. Uiltje Bar in Haarlem is a bar! Had a with some and a laid-back vibe. There is lots of from tap to choose from. You can get some food here as well but have not tried it yet. There are board games you can use. There is staff, crowd, and overall just a cool place to chill. Definitely recommend! selection of beers, atmosphere in the bar and you can also get a really burger. Unfortunately though,what would have been a five star rating, is only a three because of the absolutely abysmal service. It seems like a few other people have experienced this as well, judging from the reviews. I wasn't once asked if I wanted another beer, even when taking away my empty glass. I ordered four different and each time I had to force myself to get one ordered. It is as if the wear blinkers. People were getting served who were clearly not before me and even people offered drinks when they still had remaining in their glass. It is not being made to feel invisible and soured the whole experience, which is unfortunate. I was on my way somewhere else, but walked by and was drawn in by the large collection of beers. The Juicy Lucy is a NEIPA. They also have an extensive snack menu ( I had the duck rilette) and there is a separate burger shop in the back. Decent place where we do come back often. The place is not very big and often very busy on weekends. The is very and there is a lot of choice. The were a bit of a hit or miss, many were very but some a bit grumpy. Absolutely amazing experience of Haarlem and dutch 🍻 we had a tasting with paired cheeses and purchased some canned for later. Barman was on top of everything — he knew what we want, when we want and offered his guidance on all the and cheese pairings. This place has a large variety of tasty beers, staff, atmosphere :) Popped in to this impressive little taproom for 1 beer, wish we could have stayed for more! Guy behind the bar was very welcoming and happily gave us a few recommendations. I ended up having the Chocolate, raspberry and caramel sour which was a b dutiful balance of sweet, sour and interesting.
