I've been having food and bev here for 20 years. It's my first and last stop when in Ireland. We ordered a steak sandwich which came Out medium, (didnt realise it said it on the menu ) the chef couldnt cook it any other way apparently 🤔🤔so i had a burger and the hubby didn’t bother with anything else … What would It take to just cook it a bit more ?? Overall it's a lovely place, we were planning to sit in the conservatory, but it was too cold there. The table was clean, water was served with a slice of lemon. I didn't like the smell of the room when I came in, but other than that it was ok. It was my first time here. I tried their burger and added a side salad. It was delicious. Nice chips, well cooked, just the way I like it. The burger had a lovely onion ring inside with fresh batter, usually I find them fat and soggy but not here. The service was effective and the staff nice. They have a lovely beer garden which I would like to try in the summer. I would recommend this place for sure. Party of 30 booked booked for over a month. ,worst service we have EVER experienced. Starters drip feed ,no table serviced together. Some people were finished before others were served. 45 minutes wait once main were cleared off. , coffee and tea served first before desert , how difficult is it to piut a pre made apple crumble and ice cream on a dish. 45 to 50 minutes wait . If I could give minus for service I would !!! Spoke to manageress thought things might improve but no. .....a disaster food was good when it arrived. We had a friend's meeting here after many years apart. The staff were fantastic and the place was just wonderful. They were attentive and helpful with the many asks we had of them including photos and the likes. A real pub with great standards. We were here for lunch mid-week and we were very pleasantly surprised. I had the steak sandwich (which I'd highly recommend!) and my husband had the club sandwich. The staff were very friendly and the food was very tasty. There was plenty of parking too. Will definitely be back! We celebrated our wedding at The Old Orchard Inn on July 21st and everything was absolutely wonderful! The food — from the canapés to the full menu — was delicious, and all the cocktails we ordered were amazing. A very special thank you to the lovely waitress who looked after us all day — she was so kind, attentive and professional. Her service was outstanding and truly made us feel special. Please make sure she gets the recognition she deserves! Thank you so much to the entire team for making our day not only beautiful but truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back for future events! Waited 20 odd minutes after being shown to our table did we want any drinks… food then came out cold. Took forever for them to clear table after we were clearly finished. Desserts came quick but without spoons and our tea, asked waiter but she didn’t come back… had to ask different waiter for it 10 minutes later. Staff need to be trained on how to serve customers properly/ in a timely manner. Food was okay once it came back after being heated.
