The reviews made me want to here. As soon as I seen ‘peaceful and tranquil’ - I just booked. However, it was the complete opposite. Firstly I will state how, since I’ve arrived to Lithuania I don’t think I’ve seen one person smile (been truly honest), the culture appear abrupt and always in a hurry to get nowhere 🤷‍♀️. But here, the hosts, cleaners and all are fantastic and accommodating and even smile religiously. So that was nice to see. Our wasn’t ready on arrival and I was a little concerned when I first booked as I never got a confirmation / welcome message asking me when I’ll even arrive or if I’d be interested in opting for breakfast (in Ireland this comes natural ☘️). I never got any message. However, the not been ready I didn’t mind at all - these things happen. The surroundings from this area are truly beautiful. And the / units are basic and good for a nights if you are travelling long distances or driving. I thought this would be a nice ‘stop off’. Unfortunately there was a party/wedding party or something going on, and it carried on until 2/3am. I thought finally… then at one point I heard several men close to our jump into the pond/lake out front. Like grown men, doing bomb jumps and shouting abruptly at 4am. Then 7am some random woman starting knocking at our door looking for a missing guest 🤦‍♀️ So to say the least, because of all this commotion myself and partner didn’t get much sleep. The music they played was good, I even joked about this but it was just continuously shouting and music being loud. And it’s unfortunate because the place is beautiful. I have stayed in a few resorts and hotels that make you sign ‘waiver forms’ to state that you’ll play no music or disturb other guests after a certain time or you’ll be asked to leave, I think this is a good idea to deter disruptions in the future (just an idea). If parties are going on in the area, perhaps a further unit away would be beneficial in the future. There is no tv, no wifi, no air-con. Towels, shampoo, linen, coffee, kettle, free parking are provide for guests. Simple, affordable for a nights stay. I’ll still rate this as good considering the area is nice it’s just unfortunate who was staying in the area at the time. Cosy place for wedding or some other event. Nice nature around, good facilities, awesome kitchen and professional staff. Good for short stay. Very small and simple but clean and nice rooms. Friendly owners. We arrived and the wasn’t ready for us but the cleaner and hosts were very accommodating. Furthermore , can’t say the same about the neighbouring guests. There was a party going on until 2/3am in the morning . Music blaring and bomb jumps in the water by grown men. Now there’s nothing wrong with them having fun but i just think the way the party area being so close to the rest of the units is not beneficial for anyone else staying. Outside of every porch , there was a switch for the light outside and before going to sleep I turned it off because it was too bright and it shun into my but a random passerby decided to turn it back on when i was ready to fall asleep. However ,when i finally managed to fall asleep , at 7am a woman knocked on our door, woke us up and asked if we seen some man or if we knew where he was staying. This is ludicrous. Nothing about that nights was peaceful. After no rest and complete tiredness me and my partner didn’t enjoy our as much as we’ve hoped and expected from our first moments there. Just to clarify the hosts were great and helpful but unfortunately there’s no house rules or indicators that a party or a gathering could be going on while we booked our stay.
