Makes great use of old fortress / barracks features as part of the course design. Generally a very fair course, with a few tight gaps to hit, especially hole 1 is an intimidating start. OB is abundant but it's often behind a layer of trees and not a primary concern. More often it comes into play because it's tight behind a basket. My biggest critique is that on a few holes the rough gets very thick and the hole demands long throws... making a list disc very probable. Having a spotter recommended. It appears work is happening while I was there to improve this and thin out the underbrush. I did lose a disc here, my first lost disc in a few years. One hole has holes in the ground with swampy water right where most would land. Great tee pads and baskets, long yellow and short blue. Yellow is both scoreable and punishing. Everything is nicely polished; good signs, well market OB, benches and high quality tees. Highly recommended, in my top 20 courses I've ever played out of about 250. Worth a detour if you're traveling the area. Long course, set aside 2hrs+ if you’re an amateur like we were. But a fun and challenging course. I absolutely love this place! Bring your own frisbee/disc and go for it 🤗 Most of the mud is frozen, do the mud is less of an issue. However the tee's are really slippery. Great track, a bit overgrown in areas, but all in all nice technical course!
