Each hour or so excursions happen conducted by three guides describing various aspects of that age craft and life conditions (Polish only). All the guides wear clothes from the adding to the atmosphere of the place. An awesome experience! Definitely plan on being here for a few hours. The presentations are very interesting and you can learn a lot about the of the Slavic tribes in an intriguing way. There are no actual artifacts from the period. Everything here is a prototype but really well done! There are also activities for kids with a small fee where they can make pottery , jewellery and weave some thing on the ancient ways with ancient tools. I had attended other museums and demonstration of village life etc but this one was very lively and the demonstration of each aspect of the settlement was wonderful and very engaging. It was a day we'll spent and my daughter made a pot , drilled a hole in ber to make her necklace and weaved a bracelet. :-) Huge disappointment. Very small - there is a few wooden houses, statues, wooden labyrint. This was overly expensive for what it is. Almost feel like a tourist trap to me. Very nice place... And guy telling stories is incredibly realistic in that what he is doing... Only one minus... There should be more food to buy, apart of that highly recommend... You can really see that the people are passionate about their jobs and have a vast knowledge of the topics. We wanted to take many pictures, but we got so absorbed with the tour and its explanations that we forgot to do so :D We both learnt lots of stuff from that time, from the way they used to live to the their believes. Besides that there are some additional activities like pottery, skin design, etc. for a small fee :) We really recommend it, specially if you would like to learn about those times. We went here the second because the kids already loved it when we visited it three years ago. All descriptions are in polish and english, the staff is very friendly and passionate about the authentic knowledge transfer. They now offer a labyrinth and a very adventourus playground as well, which was new to us and is definitely recommended by our kids! If you want to spend a nice day with very good home-made ice cream and cakes, learn something new and watch your kids stroll around happily through nature, go there mate! At least one recommendation for the team: you need definitely more advertisement ;-). It was pretty difficult to get informations about this settlement in advance because Wolin is so omnipresent in the internet. Super miejsce zarówno dla starszych jak i młodszych odwiedzających. Byliśmy na "Dziadach" - świetnie zorganizowane. Amazing , the best history lesson of your life . The guide was wery kind, friendly, knowlagabe and interested in this period . We got a flawless demonstration of medival techniques and tools in perfect english , questions were answerd and all we could ask for was there . I very strongly recomend this place from my own experience 👍👍. Fun day out, family with 3 kids (aged 6, 8 and 10). Lots to do, interesting tour and excellent dwellings.
