The is very good, there is everything you need. The guesthouse is in a place surrounded by nature and with a great view on some glaciers. Also the was good. However, the guesthouse itself is too old in material of the building as well as in interior design - the walls are so thin you can hear all other guests, notably when doors are opened and closed (locks and doors should be replaced), the kitchen is too small for 6 rooms / ca. 12 guests (e.g. small refrigerator has only 3 compartments, only 1 bowl available,…) and the bathrooms could also need a work over. Our room was tiny, towels and bed sheets should be renewed. When we arrived the owner was unfriendly to us from the first moment and was very rude when we asked if an early (before 8am) would be possible (which he impolitely made clear was not). I have never experienced such a behavior by a host anywhere in the world. We did not feel welcome at all by him which made our 3-night unpleasant from the beginning and we were glad to leave. Overall, the location is not worth the price - the nature around the location and the good are worth 2 stars, but the guesthouse is simply too old and combined with the bad experience with the host this was unfortunately the worst of our 3-week Iceland trip. We stayed here for 2 nights, it’s a lovely cozy farm house with a small kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Overall we had a really pleasant experience! The owners were lovely, the rooms were clean and the they provided was a great start to the day. As others have said it’s a very remote location but very beautiful. I’d recommend booking in advance if you’d like to eat on the property as they get pretty booked up! Otherwise you should bring your own supplies to cook with, as basic cooking utensils are supplied. Our only complaint is that there are 2 bathrooms and the upstairs one had a very strong smell of urine. Super cozy home with farm animals around the house. Absolutly lovely in a very warm atmosphere. Can't wait to come back in summertime. This was a place to and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. It is a little secluded, but then again, this is Iceland and it's a farm so that is to be expected. It's just a little bit of a drive to get to restaurants. I see reviews that the host was rude; I really didn't think so at all. I think, speaking as an American, we are used to being overly bubbly in customer service/hospitality. The host was direct and not super talkative, but never rude. The room was clean and cozy. No complaints, but I'm easy to please. As long as there's a clean comfy bed to sleep on, I'm satisfied. The was great and it was a really cute little restaurant with cool and quirky instruments on the wall to look at. Also it backs up to a glacier tongue that they give you directions to drive up to if that interests you. It was a little start to the next morning! Overall, I would here again. place with simple rooms that reflect the authentic spirit of Icelandic farm life. was excellent, with plenty of food and a wide selection. Unfortunately, the host ruined the experience. I’m giving only one star because the service was terrible and guy very rude. I understand that Icelanders are not known for their empathy or outgoing nature, but basic respect and manners should be expected—especially from someone running a BnB. If having people around is bothersome, perhaps it’s time to consider a different job. Hospitality needs serious improvement here. Also, it’s definitely not worth the price. Given how remote the place is—literally in the middle of nowhere—it would be essential to offer dinner or at least the chance to eat something on-site. The shared kitchen was completely empty and neglected: no cups, no tea, no drinking water—nothing. Location is great, with a view to the glacier and price/quality is reasonable. On the downside, the owner acted rather unfriendly and seemed far from welcoming (we were travelling with children). Beautiful and peaceful place, very quiet and homely.
