Small roast - beef, roast potatoes, and trimmings All dry, pigs in blankets overcooked with shrivelled bacon, Yorkshire pudding couldn't break with a knife, roast potatoes overcooked, very disappointing first visit Would I 🤔 not after this visit. Though the Group is normally a safe bet for a lover of roast dinners. and excellent food Very easy to locate and plenty of parking spaces to choose from. Entrance for food not the first entrance. It's round the side. Clean restaurant and nice vibe, not loud/quiet. Asked for a for 3 on a Sunday afternoon, was able to get a albeit waiting 2 mins for a to be cleaned. Not an issue. had plenty of menus and cutlery there. Menu has plenty of choice, and the prices are fairly reasonable too. Able to at the bar or on the easy-to-use app. Be careful to set the correct location as it doesn't automatically update the closest one like other apps do... Food was quick to and was very very good, not a single fault with the food. Tasted and portion sizes were huge. Staff were very and helpful!! Would definitely to come here. There is public transport but not lots. Really food, though the mashed potatoes were a bit gooey, but overall very tasty! The "display only" food kinda gave me the creeps and it was weird that there was "display only bread" in the middle of the buffet. Staff was super nice!! value, was excellent quality. Restaurant was clean and well looked after and were friendly, although there was a bit of a wait to at the bar despite not having much of a queue. Would definitely return. Very large. area for children. I can imagine on a quiet day the food sits on a fair while. I had vegan so didn't have carvery. We were a large group and the managed us well. We'd pre ordered our meals so was prompt. Everyone enjoyed their meals and a price too. Lots of parking and accessibility for disabled. Food was good, we had burgers. The egg on top was overcooked but still good. You at the bar and they bring it to your table. They have a buffet for and dinner that seemed decent and cost effective. Somewhat disappointing. Place is dated and could do with a clean in my humble. were doing well, though some of our food was missed. Preferred vegetarian burger choice was not available for a large party, half of who are veggie. Feral children running wild and unsupervised was no fault of the staff, though play area needs scrubbed down and most of the equipment within incinerated and replaced. The heat inside was almost unbearable, very uncomfortable. The ceiling fans were not in operation, windows cannot be opened and there was no air in the space at all. I didn't use the toilet so I cannot comment on those. There was a long wait for our grandchild to be able go and have their nappy changed at the facilities available. I cannot this place unfortunately, and will not be booking again. Went for this morning and won't be having it again. Wasn't appetising at all. Sticky tables..true you only get what you pay for. Had a really enjoyable visit here. Jess looked after us and the food came out quickly and was delicious. All of the other were also very and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend! value for money although the meat slices are wafer thin - tons of veg and gravy Arrived to be waiting for seats for 10minutes while we were told "1 sec" over and over again. Polite enough, but still not great. Ordered food and drinks but our drinks hadn't arrived so had to go find them after 20 minutes, and brought them to the myself- 2 coke zeros so nothing taxing. We had a buffet "help yourself style" so we'd nearly finished by the time we had our drinks. The food was really nice and was very for your money so that was great. One of our party asked which were the vegetarian sausages and was told "dunno" and that was that. There were a few errors that would have made things better Had a experience at elginhaugh tonight Louise was amazing and couldn’t be anymore helpful Came here for my birthday and must say was a bit dissapointed. 3 of us got the Carvery. Guy on the meat station was very unhelpful and abrupt. The Roast Beef was so chewy it was inedible, the roast potatoes and yorkie not much better tbh, Overcooked and dry. Best part of the meal was the veg and gravy. No complaints with cost or portion sizes but overall dissapointing and won't be hurrying back. Don't like leaving poor reviews anywhere tbh as I know how hard people work in restaurants but was a birthday treat from my wife and daughter and was all a bit underwhelming 😔 We had a wonderful experience at Elginhaugh Farm! The food was absolutely delicious, and the were super and welcoming. We visited with our parents and husband, and everyone had a fantastic time. One of the highlights was the manager's exceptional customer service. When we mentioned we were feeling a bit chilly, she promptly and kindly switched off the air-conditioning without hesitation. Her warm smile and demeanor made us feel right at home. The atmosphere at Elginhaugh Farm was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We would highly this place to anyone looking for food and excellent service. Five stars isn't enough - we'd give it even more if we could! We have not been here for a while now as we had not had a experience with buffet previously. On saying that though this morning we were pleasantly surprised and had a which set us up for the day. A range of food to choose from, the coffee was lovely and everything we had was very good. The were attentive seating us immediately and advising us on the set up. Waited 30 minutes for our starter had to go and ask them for it it came and was only warm. Then had to ask for our main meal by this time it was over an hour I was told it was because we had a starter so if you want better don't a starter the food was disgusting again only warm my husband the fish and chips and bread and butter which you have to pay extra for no bread and butter by this point we didn't complain as there didn't seem any point we just wanted to leave never again will we be going back We arrived to restaurant today and were surprised it is half empty. Never saw it so empty on Saturday night. Waited 10 minutes for table, girl in charge walked few times around us and after 10 minutes she put paper “ only reservations “ I tried book in the past but I was told they don’t do it, obviously they changed their policy. Will accept do not wish to serve us if restaurant was busy ! Girl in charge was totally out of her comfort zone, she should be trained, also her manners were rude and ignorant! We won’t be back! Shame as we were loyal customers for last 8 yrs. Popped in on Monday on my travels to Scotland and had one of the best carverys I've ever had. Meat was exceptionally well cooked. The lad on the carvery, Charlie was very and even pointed me to a few places in the local area I could check out some views. Will definitely be coming back in next time I'm in the area Elginhaugh Farm is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The grounds are kept to an excellent standard, and it’s clear a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining everything. The atmosphere is welcoming, calm, and very well looked after. A special mention to the new server, Emily, who was so and attentive – she really made the visit even more enjoyable. A lovely spot that I’d definitely to anyone. Somewhere we’re regularly going for a lovely carvery. Choosing to go here over Toby Carvery. We book online to make sure we can get a table. Prices reasonable and that there is a choice of sizes of meals for the whole family. Food was fine had a power cut so was eating food in dark for half an hour and food went cold no refund was offered by staff. Paid £75 food, atmosphere and amazing staff. We had a lovely lunch and our server Nathan was fantastic. Would highly recommend. We had such a fantastic experience at Elginhaugh Farm! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was spot on and you can really tell the care that goes into the menu. A huge thank you to Rachel, the manager, who was so welcoming and attentive, and to Cameron, our waiter, who couldn’t have been more and helpful. The rest of the team were equally wonderful – efficient, cheerful, and made the whole atmosphere so relaxed and enjoyable. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the so right, but Elginhaugh Farm really does. We’ll definitely be back soon! I visited this weekend past with my family and we decided to have carvery, the chef introduced himself as Charlie and was very and welcoming, he made sure that we all got portions on our plates and that if we needed anything he would be happy to help. I would definitely return any time he is on shift. I go once or twice a week always on a Sunday morning the are always happy and you with a smile 😃 The Elginhaugh is ideal for any dining experience, breakfast, lunch and dinner (and everything in between!) The atmosphere is and the food is value for money. The are so helpful and on this occasion we were helped by Lauren who was attentive and considerate. place!!
