It’s a reasonably interesting cave. Not the most beautiful in the world but also not the worst. They have something like hourly tours in Slovakian language only. That sort of spoilt it for me. Some of the tiny thin stalactites are quite lovely It is a beautiful in northern Slovakia . takes approximately half an hour. Unfortunately the guided group included more people than it could be suit for one guide. It was a case when a family with two children were speak very loud and others did not understand the speech of the guide. Otherwise the guide was perfect. We liked it here. The is a short one (around 40 minutes). Fun for kids of all age. They can guess what the rock formations look like ;) There are expositions of bones found in the cave. Enjoy the absolute dark, too :) More than I expected. Really beautiful small tour. Take a coat.. It was cold like a refrigerator. Also very dark at one point. That was the fun part. Total blackness. Dont worry they turn the lights back on. You HAVE to visit the Važecká when you're in High Tatras! It's a really great alternative to hiking when the weather's not particularly nice. The is gorgeous, and it's history is fascinating - you can even see real bones of a bear species that used to live in the some 10 000 years ago! The staff are kind and knowledgeable - can only recommend visiting! Hey, I just left the place, it's pretty decent if it's your first time visiting like this but, besides being decent as a place and location, the rest was really bad, they made us wait 1 hour until we were allowed in and when that hour passed we were about to get in but, they said no it's full , although we were the first people there, then she let in other people that had larger number than us. They don't have English translation, we had to walk inside with a guide while hearing her speak Slovakian language and not understanding anything she is saying. If you ask for my opinion don't waste your time there , there are better caves than this but, if you insist on going bring a hat or something to cover your hair especially on a raining day and of course a jacket cuz it could get really cold inside .oh and by the way, you need to buy tickets to take pictures besides the fee on entering the cave. It is a nice place to visit, around 30min audio tour. If you want to take pictures you need to pay extra 7 euros, which I found a little weird, I would include in the price instead. Odporucam Navštívili sme Važeckú jaskyňu dňa 5. júla 2025 a zážitok predčil naše očakávania. Jaskyňa má nádhernú výzdobu – kvaple, unikátne tvary a obzvlášť sa nám páčili kreatívne „zvieratká“ vytvorené z kvaplovej výzdoby, ktoré výborne oživili celý priestor. Veľké poďakovanie patrí našej sprievodkyni Dominike, ktorá mimoriadne milá, zlatá a výrečne podávala zaujímavé informácie o histórii a prírodných zaujímavostiach jaskyne. Jej výklad bol nielen odborný, ale aj pútavý – bolo vidieť, že svoju prácu robí s nadšením a má naozaj dobré vedomosti. Prehliadka výborne zorganizovaná, trvala ideálnu dĺžku a prostredie bolo príjemné aj počas horúceho dňa. Určite odporúčam návštevu tejto aj ostatným. Je to krásne miesto s jedinečnou atmosférou a vďaka Dominike sme si odniesli skvelý zážitok. Chcem pochváliť dnešnú sprievodkyňa Lucku, ktorá mala veľmi profesionálny prístup, nielen milá, ale aj pútavo rozprávala a zaujala aj našich chlapcov v pubertálnom veku. Nádherná a zaujímavá jaskyňa. Dominika Super ani nie dlhé a ktomu veľmi zaujímavá história Ďakujem perfektnej sprievodkyni Dianke ;) Naty Taká nenápadná jaskyňa ukrýva toľkú krásu! Očarujúca slečna sprievodkyňa Dianka rozprávala veľmi pútavo, a dozvedela som sa nové informácie napríklad o... to už neprezradím, vrelo odporúčam. (Diduš som na teba hrdá:)) Ivetka Me and my husband are very grateful for this cave’s staff, we arrived very early and there weren’t any other visitors at the time (there’s a rule that the can be hold only with minimum 4 ppl), so we been waiting for more visitors, no one showed up aaaand they made a only for two of us. The was pretty quick, but we very enjoyed that. Thank you again guys, best of luck! Úžasný zážitok v srdci prírody. Návšteva tejto naozaj nezabudnuteľná. Už pri vstupe nás príjemne očarila. Celá prehliadka výborne zorganizovaná, sprievodkyňa Dominika veľmi milá, zábavná a vedela pútavo rozprávať o histórii aj tajomstvách jaskyne. V jaskyni je fascinujúca nádherná kvapľová výzdoba. Osvetlenie vytváralo príjemnú, no zároveň mystickú atmosféru. Obrovským plusom je aj to, že jaskyňa je dobre prístupná a bezpečná aj pre rodiny s deťmi. Ak hľadáte kombináciu oddychu, prírodných krás a dobrodružstva, určite odporúčam navštíviť túto jaskyňu. Budete nadšení.
