Nijmegen, Netherlands Historical place

Top-rated.online cuts through the clutter, highlighting only the reviews that are most helpful, earn the most likes, or come from the most active contributors. Interesting and beautiful ruins Really cool place with a rich history. Too bad there's no qr code with info on its history and architecture but it's ok. Sad also that there's no open cafes (pandemic) Absolutely wonderful village Nooit geweten dat hier een ruine was Mooi Small but really special place to visit. There is more castles closeby 👍 Nice litle place to visit. Do arrange a guide and plan a hour for it. Do not forget the town it is small and nice. The Ruins were just okay. When I came after 20km bicycling to see them they were closed. I don't even know if they are open anytime. The road to the destination was nice, I really enjoyed it. 😉 Leuk om wat van te zien. Mooi stadje. Veel is er niet meer te zien van het kasteel. Na een kwartier ben je klaar. Mooie oude reuine . Kun je zeer mooie foto s van maken. Je kunt het zo gaan bekijken. Geen kosten. Nice to see but only from a distance as it's not open to public. It was closed, only can look at it from the outside It's a beautiful castle ruin, but it is closed . Once again I visited Batenburg from my home in Massachusetts USA. My last name Batenburg is preceeded by van. My understanding is "van" means "from". I have two sons that my Wife, Deb and I adopted and I wish they knew more about their ancestors. The only restuarant in Batenburg is great. The owners remember me when I visit, usually once a year. I hope you have a place like this that you can connect with. It is a lovely small village of very Dutch friendly people. The picture I believe is from the 20 ot 30's. Not mine. Nice old castle to see. We didn't go inside, gate was closed, but you see everything from behind. Nothing else to do there Beautiful castle and gardens. Amazing cake in the cafe and beautiful patio to enjoy it.
