Nice playground for kids in the meantime Cozy and affordable pannekoek restaurant in the middle of the forest. The terrace has views and there is a big playground for kids. Inside is very cozy and feels like visiting your grandma. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food was ready quite fast and it was quite delicious. Totally recommended! The behaviour of the animals is interesting too; be careful when feeding the black sheep, the white goats will bully it. Amazing Place & Family Friendly! This gem is located about 10-15 mins from the A12 and is well worth the detour! Just take a short but beautiful drive through a little town and into the woods and you are at this fantastic retreat. It opens at 11am and serves amazing food (especially their Dutch Pancakes!) They have a park for kids, a petting zoo and ponies! What’s not to love about that! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has children seats, a menu for kids, and a kinder toilet! The interior is like walking into a well preserved and tastefully decorated museum. The curios around the mansion keep your eyes entertained at every glance. This place has serval separate spaces that could easily be used for private parties of various sizes. It reminds me of an American country club. The grounds are beautifully kept and make you feel as if you are in a five star resort! Gardens full of flowers, lots of tall trees provide shade and create a romantic setting. Venturing over to the park we found a play ground perfect for kids of all ages. A Teeter-taughter, rocking horses, a play house with slide, swings and a zip line swing! Additionally, there were several trails leading out into the forest for anyone who wants to take a short hike while visiting. By far this was the most beautiful and peaceful place we have visited in the Netherlands. Not crowded, lovely views, kid friendly, and delicious foods! Foods was great, service was excellent. Nice family restaurant with playground and nice view. While we had to wait a while for our food due to a fire the staff was incredibly friendly, explained in detail what was going on and left a really good impression on me. The food was great. The pancakes are thick but fully cooked. The toppings are plenty but not overpowering, or they can be removed, and the dishes don't feel rushed at all considering the pressure the kitchen must have been feeling. Went there with my family for a bit of nostalgia as i hadnt been there in ages. We had a seat on the terrace as it was lovely weather, which makes it a location. Had the spicy chicken with siracha mayo as i was in the mood for an exotic pancake and it delivered. pancake and would definitely have it again. Staff was very friendly and service was quick Been coming here for about 40 years, on and off. Unfortunately, during our last visit, we found the pancakes to not be what we were used to in the past. Mind you, it's been a while since we last visited, but still. It was, for us, compared to how it was in the past, a disappointing experience. I don't think I'll be driving over an hour again, where previously the drive was worth it. Perfect place for some poffertjes and pancakes.
