Stopped at this well known restaurant for a coffee and their famous house made apple pie. I was not disappointed the coffee and pie were excellent and well presented and fast and friendly served on their terrace. This despite that the terrace in front on the restaurant was fully packed, and the terrace opposite was also quite full Unique location being the oldest still existing bar/restaurant in the Netherlands. Nice atmosphere in the medieval building. The food (lunch) was very good and the service was very friendly. Can get busy so make reservations if you don't want to be disappointed. Prices a bit above average, but not 'crazy'. Welcoming staff and a unique menu to choose from. The wild options were unique and wonderful. Wild boar ham and deer goulash. Nice to visit for a drink maybe not so much for food given its price. Lovely place in Doesburg. Building is beautiful inside and out. Wait staff are friendly. Great ons sunday for cyclists. The food is good. Great, cosy, atmospheric place in a beautiful old building. Vegan and vegetarian options, and they even tailor the coffee to vegans, i.e. you don’t get a non-vegan cookie with your coffee, amazing. The service was excellent, and the food was great, especially the mustard soup. Would definitely come back if I am in Doesburg again.
