An extremely interesting and well designed museum that takes you from the vineyard outside, down into the extensive cellers, through the old winemaker and cooper’s workshops and emerges back in the modern museum building for a lovely taste of the local wines. Definitely much more than we were expecting with art installations, extensive audio guides and naturally a massive selection of Lower Austrian wines to choose from. Spectacular place with amazing architecture and entertainment! One of the best places in the country. Wonderful place and full of winemaking history. One must make sure to have enough time to see and feel that places' atmosphere and enjoy all the offerings. Was an absolute pleasure to go spend my Sunday here, Aleen who worked at the front entrance was super inviting and spoke great English willing to take the time to explain the process. I’d gladly come back to just talk and drink some glasses with friends. An incredible place to learn that is not only Greek, Italian, or Spanish but Austrians have a history also. The tour is a must see and the tasting adequate. Prices are like anywhere in Austria, just a small percentage more, but the experience is worthy. We had the tour in English and all the info was there. Its not super cold when you go down but people that can't handle 12-15 Celcius should have a jacket This experience was amazing, you got to see what a grape goes through in the process of winemaking. The audio guide was terrific. The woman who was speaking in it had a lovely voice and good humor. It was unique and I would recommend to everyone. Their is excellent. The tour is an absolute must!! Never before seen such a great and interactive cellar your that caters for all ages and all tastes. Wine is superb, and the waiter at the shop gives fantastic recommendations. Antipasti plate is well prices, and just great value for what you get! Make sure you leave a lot of time for the tour....could have spent hours there!! So good!! We were waiting waiter for more than 30 minutes, they served people who came after us. I went to the bar asking something to buy and was asked to wait for waiter at table. After 20 minutes we left . Why they ignored 6 people wanted to have a lunch and served other smaller group its a good question. But walk through the valleys was awesome . To admit - white is sower . Samplers proved that . So verdict - nice walk , nice nature and strange restaurant and dumb service . Thats why we didnt also bought anything . Worth visiting but dont expect “awesome vines” but views :)) anyway its worth it 100%!!!
