I give this a high rating not so much for the waterfall, but for the hike up to it. The Mostnice Gorge is a rugged trail along the river with rapids and falls spilling through narrow slot canyons. There is a place to stop for refreshments halfway, and from that point on, the trail is essentially a gravel road with gradual elevation change. It passes through open alpine meadows where cows graze. As long as you've gone that far, you might as well go to the falls. It's good, but not spectacular. A beautiful walk from Stara Fuzina, across the gorge and valley. Family friendly and very accessible. It's only the last stretch that requires good shoes and a little bit of stamina, but can be accessed by everyone. There was hardly anyone by the waterfall when we got there. We walked here from the lake and it was a great hike. Take cash as nowhere on this route takes cards. There is an entrance fee of 4Euro per adult to the gorge which is spectacular. As you come out of the wooded area there is a nice restaurant/bar (with toilets). Following the trail further leads to lovely meadows with little huts. It was breathtakingly beautiful. There is another restaurant just before the waterfall. The waterfall itself isn’t anything special but a without it we would not have discovered the amazing walk! very nice and easy 2 hour hike (from Stara Fužina parking) with beautiful views on multiple waterfalls, the star of the show is the one on the end of course! take cash with you if you want to stop by and grab a beer or get some food - the restaurants/pubs don't accept cards + you pay a small enter fee 3€/person, which is totally worth it! cute cows and goats involved ❤️ Gorgeous hike, suitable for children too. We did it in October and the colours and atmosphere were amazing. The path to the Mostnice Waterfall after you reach the Voje Lodge lies through a forest and opens up into a valley so vast and beautiful you would not believe your eyes. I almost lost track of time when I reached the waterfall because it hypnotises, it's such a perfect space to sit and meditate, and it's gorgeous. Very underrated! a beautiful walk along the most stunning river, carved it's way through gorges and ravines, opens up to a spectacular waterfalls at the end of a rewarding hike.
