Delicious food and beer. Prices are bit higher than expected for what you get on the table compared to Germany or Austria. Perfect after that way up to that river source which is a really amazing walk and climb. It's only 15min if you are fit. But close to the source it gets bit tricky and you should have good shoes and two hands free. Careful with children and less sporty people - slippery ground. Nice ambient with fair prices between parking and Soča spring, that is 15min away in the hills. Rooms are basic but nice and clean. The hosts are super nice and friendly, the food is great- the wild goulash with polenta ist next level. Soča river’s origin is 15min hike behind the hut. We had lunch here after hiking up to the soça river source. We had the hot chocolate with whipped cream, the lavender soda, the buckwheat with yogurt, the cole stew and the cheese dumplings. All of it tasted great, but I was especially surprised by the cheese dumplings, which were accompanied by melted butter and jam. They tasted like something I’ve never tasted before, which is rare. Just can speak for the restaurant. Great food and fair prices Great local food and sweets too. Fast service and great value for the price. A very nice place to stop by for a meal and drinks. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely remodeled hut. We stayed at many mountain huts during our stay and this one is newly remodeled, clean and bright with friendly staff and good food. Our breakfast was generous which helped fuel our hiking excursions and we loved the patio next to the source of the famous Soca river. We highly recommend it! I ordered vegetable soup but got a bowl of hot, overpriced water with a few sad vegetable floaters. It was less a meal, more a vague suggestion of one. Honestly, I've seen more greens in a desert. The only decent thing was the bread—which, tragically, wasn’t what I came for. Save your money unless you're craving disappointment... and hydration.
