We used to go here when I was young and not much has changed. Clean beaches, cool tree shades, and lot of families with kids. There are also cafes with ice cream and donuts. Relaxing and unpretentious beach. This old fashioned literally stole my heart. It was like a blast from the past experience- free from all the fake bougie modern extras. Just crystal clear waters, beautiful nature and happy non-pretentious people acompanied by some chill music at the background. Not really spectacular... Looks better on the photo 😂 not good space to lay down, people have their little huts there... Jadrija is a community recreation area that is quite unique in its ambience as it was kept by Sibenik locals as their place of retreat over long period of time passed. Drinks and food are very affordable as well and summer nights have a specific charm... similar to travelling through a wormhole in time. It is also very close to Fort St. Nicholas a UNESCO world heritage site just out of the town sea channel. Family place, quiet and nice Nice beach! Fun for an afternoon. Has a great cafe bar close to it 👍. It’s nice that the doors of the cabins have different colours, makes it more special. Charming place, perfect for wind surfing Lovely sea is beautiful great for all ages some cafes and food you can order but no toilets except at the parking which are porta potties otherwise always a good time spectacular views and clean sea stretching from the historic fortress of St. NICHOLAS - or, to be more precise, from the LIGHTHOUSE on JADRIJA's peninsula in the east - to the surfers’ corner known as MALI VIGANJ in the west, JADRIJA is a place where time slows down and summer memories never fade.. the long row of colorful cabins, each with its own story and shade, has become one of the most recognizable sights on the CROATIAN coast - a symbol of carefree days, salty air, and that timeless ADRIATIC vibe.. for many, this isn’t just a - it’s a feeling.. for us, it’s even more - the place where we truly feel at home..🥰 we also made a short video about this place called “ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC ADRIATIC BEACHES..” - you can easily find it on YouTube 😉 The was recommended to us as a favourite of the locals. We went in early September thinking it would be worth a day trip, but would have been far better of staying in Sibenik to visit the beautiful Banj beach. The best thing it has going for it was the ferry - €3.50 return. Appreciate it's September, so fewer places would be open in terms of cafes etc, but there was only one place to get food on the whole island - a very questionable food truck by the car park, that took one hour for a portion of fries. The surrounding area of the is very dirty, graffitied, run down and filled with junk. The sea has many sea urchins, though I know this is more common in Croatia (though not a problem at Banj). The water was no clearer than anywhere else . And there was almost nowhere to sit that wasn't concrete (perhaps this is more of a norm in Croatia), but it meant we had nowhere to lay down. Really disappointed in the and felt very trapped here waiting hours for a ferry to go home. Jadrija is a huge family friendly with couple of affordable caffès here and there, mostly reserved by the locals or families on vacations. The sea is clean, shallow and warm, there’s a lot of big rocks close to the shore, but it’s totally cool for the good swimmers. There’s a lot of trees close to the beach, so if you’re looking for the shade or a place for camping, that won’t be the problem either.
