If you're staying in Berat or nearby I would highly recommend driving to this restaurant. The is based around what's available from local producers daily (and seasonally) so you'll be served a tasting rather than getting to choose your own dishes. This is a slow food so it takes time to prepare the food using a wooden fire and on weekends it's recommended that you book ahead of time. We loved all of the food and there were plenty of vegetarian options in the tasting menu. They even produce their own wine! The interior of the itself is very unique as well. Couldn't recommend it enough! Wonderful food. Reccomended to go for the chef's suggested where they just bring you a bit of everything. Bring a big appetite! Everything prepared fresh from local ingredients. The roasted goat meat was some of the best meat I have ever eaten We visited for lunch during our holiday in Berat. My partner and his family are Albanian, so when I say this was absolutely delicious, I’m comparing it to authentic homemade Albanian food! There were great vegetarian options, I tried the feta pie and a veggie patty, both of which were to die for. The homemade cheese, bread, and butter were all incredible. Everything was prepared with so much love, and you could truly taste it in every bite. Mostly decent food, but is no and price was higher than expected (50 euro for 2p). They were going to serve us a traditional meal. Table was placed full of food despite mentioning that we weren't very hungry. The fried chicken (12 euro) was probably from an old hen that stopped producing eggs, very little and stringy meat. We felt scammed. We did a class here (me, my husband and son) and really enjoyed ourselves. The itself is beautiful and full of charm. It was fun to learn about the traditional dishes and find out about life in general in this rural village. All the food we cooked and ate was grown/produced by the owners including the olive oil from the restaurant's own olive mill. While our food was we got to tour the farm, vineyard and mill which was really interesting. The food we produced was and couldn't have been fresher. A real highlight of our time in Albania and highly recommended! Visiting this was like stepping into a warm, welcoming home, where every dish and every moment felt deeply personal and rooted in tradition. The atmosphere of the place was quaint and homely, offering a sense of comfort and nostalgia that is rare to find. Everything served was homemade, prepared with care and attention that spoke volumes of the love infused in the process. The was a celebration of local cuisine, featuring wonderful dishes that showcased the richness and diversity of the region's culinary heritage. Each bite was a journey through flavors and recipes passed down through generations, making the dining experience not just a meal, but a cultural immersion. The owner of the added an extraordinary touch to our visit. His kindness and hospitality were unmatched. He took the time to lead us through his vineyard and the surrounding area, sharing stories and insights about the customs, culture, and history of the place. This personal tour added layers of depth and meaning to our visit, connecting us even more deeply to the food on our plates and the land that nurtured it. This is more than just a place to eat; it's a destination that captures the essence of its location, offering guests not only meals but also an education in the area's traditions and history. The combination of mouthwatering homemade dishes, the cozy, familial ambiance, and the owner's warm, informative hospitality makes this a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul of the region. Everything is made from farm to table here. A super cute family business. You have to come here for the hidden gem! Just 20 minutes from Berat city, this feels worlds away from anything, tucked into the nature perfectly. The slow food on offer here is absolutely delicious, especially their goat and lamb! The ambiance is wonderful and the staff provide excellent service with a smile. The best part, though, is their wine and raki! A must-visit for any trip to Albania! Amazing food, view, place and service in a cute village in the mountains. Try the goat! So much food so come super hungry. Also be prepared for heaven in your mouth as far as regional dishes go! Best in all of Albania, except for Fisi in Shkodër which was also quite good Very tasty food! If you’re not very hungry and don’t want to eat much, the starter is totally enough for 2 persons. You can pay only in cash. אכלנו פה ארוחת בוקר כי התארחנו ממול, מקום מדהים אנשים מקסימים ואוכל מעולה וטרי המלצה!!!!!!! Incredible! food, great service & great value. We had a mezze style dinner with goat - was marvellous- such a hidden gem - a must do for anyone staying in and around Berat! Very nice and the food is the best you will ever taste! Geweldige plek. Na een lange hike door de wijngaard hebben we hier heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. Aanrader! The best bio food. Amazing place and food. Ushqim shumë i mirë dhe shërbimi super.E rekomandoj këtë vënd, unë kam ardhur shumë herë dhe gjithmonë ngelem e kënaqur. We had lunch here after a hike. Setting was beautiful. They did not have a (which is often the case in Albania). We ordered chicken and only wanted that with pasta, but we were pushed into taking starters (we said no numerous times). The starters tasted good. After the starters we were already full. We asked for less of the chicken (for 1 person instead of 2), this was not possible. We paid (incl. 2 cokes) 3050 lek. This was almost double of what we paid at other places for the same amount of food. Best in Albania! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ we did the class and it was so much fun, the host and staff were super friendly and kind. The is owned by a local and his family ran the course with him. Food was great and so was the wine, but dont eat much in the morning because you wont be hungry when you leave. We will 100% return!! Ushqimi cdo gje bio dhe i gatuar shume mire. Vera Xha Beqo speciale Stafi shume i sjellshem Ja keshilloj kujtdo qe vjen ne Berat 😉 Dining here was a delightful experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made everything even more enjoyable. Truly a place where every dish tells a story of tradition and passion. Highly recommended for everyone. This was fantastic. It's a set and you get lots of food for your money. Traditional Albanian food, the goat was amazing and Fergese was the best we tasted whilst in Berat. If you are in the City of Berat this place is worth the 30 minute drive.
